PostSubject: Moon Decks   Sun Oct 14, 2012 8:21 am

Hi guys,
I've started making decks, at the moment, they're looking as if I'm getting somewhere. I still need to perfect the rounding and shape of the kicks but there's still time for improvement! The holes still need drilling, but I'm making a few decks and then I'm going to drill them all at the same time. Hopefully they'll be ready and almost perfect by 2013! Here are some pictures of what I've made so far, all of them have a tiny error at the moment but as I said, I'm still practicing.

This is a bowl shape that I tried testing out happy

If you have any questions or anyways for me to improve please comment very happy

you need some templates for shape and holes, but these don't look bad happy
the glue smudges on the brown deck make it look kinda cool o.O
good luck!

I've sanded them down to a better shape now, thoughts?
The brown one is a bit crap so I think I'll have to bin it or give it away?

I was about to bin it! But then I saw this and wondered if you wanted to buy it? I'll sell it you for £5? It's a bit warped but seems nice as a cruiser.

For the moment, what are you using as a template?

Try using a professional deck as a template, as they're always perfect.

Take your time sanding them out, look at the shape of the kicks in the light.

If you do this it will turn out ten times better. very happy

I love seeing how much you're improving very happy. Other people who want to start making decks need to take notes from you, because it seems like so far you're doing everything right.
