^All good suggestions that should work fine, however, if the tape leaves a sticky residue I would suggest using Goo Gone (a citrus based adhesive remover) on a paper towel or q-tip to get it off before putting on new tape. Almost all decks have lacquer on the top ply and Goo Gone will not wreck it. Just peel it off as carefully as you can (get the foam and clear backer off completely) rub on some Goo Gone if you need to, wipe it with a damp paper towel, and dry it.
