Curious to know people's preference on this. When you guys do nollie tricks do you use the actual nose of the deck or do you turn it around and use the tail as the nose?

Obviously depending on the line you end could end up having to use either but when I'm just setting up nollie I use the nose.

nose is obviously a little more difficult but feels really good when you get the trick clean.

I use my fingerboard exactly like I would use my skateboard.
Nollie and switch are both on the nose, regular and fake on da tail.

I try my hardest to get my decks (made with) 50/50 kicks so it makes no difference if your using the 'nose' or 'tail'...helps SO much when doing lines with varial flips and such...

Hmmm interesting Deejay. I always used the tail as the tail when riding switch....because you're riding in a normal stance but opposite ya know?

Yeah, a lot of people have that confusion @urbanjump.
Let's say you're doing a line... Nollie front 180 down let's say a curb?... The switch flip a stair set...
How sloppy would it look on camera to adjust your board back to being on the tail?

It's set up that way so whatever you land in, you're set for you're next trick in the line, ya feel me?
It's all preference, though I will say you don't see many pros adjusting their board mid line, haha!

Yeah yeah I gotcha. Makes sense. Ill use the board however it is mid line. If I'm rolling in switch though I usually use tail.

I don't just so I don't get in the habit of switching how I skate all the time.
If I'll end up on my nose in switch during a line, I may as well practice doing them off my nose anyway.
That's how I see it, too each their own doe!

I can't tell the difference between nose and tail so it doesn't matter which side I'm using switch. Like Jono said I really do prefer my decks to my symmetrical so that it doesn't bug me one side is shorter or higher than the other.

I like doing shuvits so I will often adjust to the tail, but really it depends what I'm trying to setup for next. I've only started to get nollie tricks down, though. Nollie flips are so satisfying to land!

I use a faceshaver as my main so it's kinda weird when i do lines and have to do a nollie/switch trick with it. It doesn't matter too much to me, but I try to use the tail for reg and fakie, and nose for nollie and switch as much as possible.
