Well, I want to buy a mold from Gator but they dont seem active in a long time but the products still on stock and the website is open...

Do they still sell stuff? Has anyone of you bought something from it recently? thanks!

gator molds are actually pretty cool if u just wanna mess around practising the art of deck making, before investing in a proper mold. much better than wasting a lot of time trying to make a decent bondo mold

but i wouldnt expect anyone would be interested in buying decks that have come from a gator though

as far as i know ther still active, try emailing him 1st

get the purple coloured mold becasue it has a round concave with no flat spots

back in 2013 (when i started making decks) I emailed him but never got a reply

yea Ive emailed him a couple months ago about molds and I never got a response. Kinda sketchy to me so I never bought

They're still active. I saw someone on instagram get their deck mold a few days ago and I bought that A-frame barrier mold a month or so ago

I wish there was some more options for molds. Not diggin the gator shapes, bondo are ridiculously hard for me, but I want a cheap mold, to just have fun with.

Me too, I love making decks and I think I do it pretty good, I hope I can get a decent mold soon

Maybe shoot him another email on ebay and see if he can do a custom mold?

He is still active a freind got a reply a few weeks back. To be honest they are actually really good and plastic is incredibly sturdy for a very reasonable price. I would go for one of the new ones with hole punches too as they will save you so much time and help you get holes aligned. the number after the mold name (for example GM1725) is the angle of the kicks. Measure up a few decks you like and find the closest.

My problem is just the high concave.

Kinda of topic, (sorry for that) but just thaught I would mention that you can have some fun making a basic mold by using the lexan inlay from the packaging of the Circuit Boards to get a basic shape. Just fill it with bondo. I did a small test with some leftover casting resin just to see if it would work and if it would turn out some what good, and it did..haha



Then, make the bottom part by molding of the casting and then make the top part by molding of the bottom part..

I emailed him and never got a reply. The molds are high concave which isnt great but the 'gm17' ones have a smooth concave as apposed to the flatspot

Havent had the chance for a loooong time Im afraid. Been a lot more busy with other stuff than I would like, but hope to be able to do a small stock every now and again some time sooner than later..
