I've seen tons of people getting ripped off lately because they send someone money via Friends and Family and are unable to open a claim and get a refund once they send someone money. If you use PayPal Goods and Services you can open a dispute and get your money back if someone doesn't ship. If a seller complains about the fees, throw in extra money for said fees. It's worth it! You are scamming yourself if you use "Friends and family".

This has been around for a while. Due to PayPal's terms&conditions that were updated years ago, family and friends are meaning to be sent as a gift and not to be paid for goods - that being said, you wouldn't need to file a claim to get a return on a gift. paying for goods and other services you do have a chance at needing a refund for whatever reason, product not as described, etc.. ALWAYS send it as Goods/Services that way you have up to 60 days to file the refund.
