PostSubject: My Idea for giving back...   Wed Dec 01, 2010 6:04 pm

So I came up with this idea..and given it has some kinks to be worked out but I think that with our tight community of friends on here we can do it Smile

So I was thinking the other day...what if there was a way to give a complete fingerboard to someone who can only afford tech decks or..is good at fingerboarding but doesnt have good equipment. It would be amazing if there was some sort of organization that could supply those kids with a Flatface g12 complete fingerboard or even a closeup complete fingerboard. Also getting some off our fellow deck makers on here to even send 1 deck a month..or even 2 months to be donated! I think that it would be a great thing to get going and spread the fingerboard love. Most of the money will come from personal fundraising as well as donations from you guys! Now..I know what you guys are saying..great just another way for Viks to get money Smile Well most of you know me on here and I am very legit. 100% of all of this money will be going to the kids in need. The only thing that I have to figure out to get this thing going is how to figure out if the kids really need the deck or complete. I would have to some how find a way to see if they are legit. Any comments would be appreciated and I hope that you guys will give feedback good or bad!

Well...it would be easier if they had a youtube channel so that we could actually see if they use tech decks or not. ..and we dont even have to give completes...we can give bearing wheels, a cheap wooden deck like a closeup..or even stuff like a pack of riptape

sorry viks but this is just stupid in my opinion
your basically setting up a fingerbording charity, theres nothing wrong with techdecks anyways
if kids really wanna start fingerboarding on a more professional level, they can buy a JW and put there techdeck trucks and wheels on it.
if they can afford techdecks they can afford other decks like jw, redemption, creekwood...

i dont want to give my charity to spoilt kids complaining because they haven't got a good enough fingerboard....id rather give my charity to staving, freezing children without homes this Christmas....

but what do i know?

i think the kids of today have it far too good anyway.....
