| So here's the deal. I was just sat thinking to myself, "Wow, I'd love to make a really creative and unique video, doing really inventive tricks and using everyday things as obstacles in lines and stuff." So I thought why not hold a contest, so I can see some of the cool imaginative things you guys can come up with. So Danny Hynam and I are holding a 'Most creative mini' contest. There are no official rules as of yet, but me and Danny will be posting a video on each of our channels telling you the official rules when we have made them. Right now we are focusing on companies that will give us prizes to help encourage people to enter, because I want to see some awesome entries So here are the rules we have decided on for the time being: 1. It must be creative (obviously). 2. You must include objects that aren't designed for fingerboarding e.g a banana 3. If you use any fingerboard obstacles they must be used creatively (so try not to just use a single ledge for a single trick, experiment and combine obstacles in the most inventive way you can). 4. Your entry must include at least 10 tricks. 5. 18 tricks maximum (a trick counting as any individual flip, grind or grab, or any combo e.g kickflip manual). 6. HAVE FUN remember, the reason for this contest is to have fun doing things differently, and breaking the limits. 7. Entry MUST be named 'most creative mini contest entry-(your name)' So yeah, that pretty much sums it up so far. Keep checking back for further details as it may be a while until the contest officially starts because we need to sort prizes out and stuff first. sponsors so far: EX-Tape Blue-Fly Boardz Creekwood Fbs Peace

what alex said, make it like, I dunno, 5 tricks (a trick being a 'combo' in tony hawks style, so, trick in to a grind/manual and keep it going with how ever many different inbetween tricks and other grinds/manuals etc, you get what I mean), that don't have to be in a row filmed wise, like hit the line or w/e. So, your *insert number you choose here* most creative tricks using your most creative objects as obstacles, inside and outside Number 2 is a lame rule. Seriously? If you want a contest, thats cool. Don't force people to sub to you, take pride that when people sub to you, its because they want to watch your vids, not because you made them. If its all about fun, which this sounds like it is, then your subscribers have no relevance what so ever. Sorry to be harsh about that bit, but, its annoying when people do things like this, seen it happen fairly often, and, I think its silly, to put it nicely. Otherwise, sounds a really fun contest and I'll be defo entering, AND really looking forward to hear more on it! Hope you can take this as constructive criticism and not 'YOU ARE WRONGZ LOL'

Okay to be honest that sounds pretty true, I'll change rule 2, but I don't think there should be a limit on tricks or anything, I want to give people the opportunity to do whatever they want. I'm basically judging it on whatever makes me say "Wow that's so cool and different." I want to allow people to do any number of tricks they want, but obviously I want enough content to make it a decent length, so I think 10 tricks sounds about right. I appreciate what you're saying though

^__________^ I think maybe you should have an upper limit as well as a lower limit, not say 'you must do this many', I can see where you're coming from with that one, but, say, 10 to 15 tricks maybe? Otherwise the variation would make it hard to judge imo.. Either way, look forward to hearing more on this! I've already thought of the first random creative spot I'ma film on outside my local shopping centre Stoked on this. Don't make the entry date between the 19th feb and 1st march as I'm not in the country and don't want to miss this ^_^

hmmm, yeah Kerry you do have a point there, I'll say 18 tricks max, and a trick counts as any individual trick or a combo, so a regular tre flip would count as a trick (even though it's not very creative) and a kickflip manual would count as a trick (again, not the best choice of tricks to use in a creative trick contest ahaha). p.s a shopping centre sounds like exactly the kind of thing I'm looking for
