| Why put a flatface sticker on the bottom of a new (and non flatface) deck?
It'd be like buying some fresh homecooked food from the new organic resturaunt down the road, but then, when you review it, you stick it in a mcdonalds box or something for the photos.

| Because it's his deck, and he likes Flatface? He advertises Unique, reviews a Unique and links to the Unique page. It looks great, so why not? |

| well i can kind of understand but with food it generally all looks the same whereas on a fingerboard theres typically a noticeable difference between most decks. also what kind of fool would click on "unique deck review" and think its a flatface deck review? |

| ... It looks cool cos it's the logo of the most known brand in Fingerboarding.
I'm sure that review will really help Unique with their brand identity. |

| Its because flatface stickers are magnetically charged to aid gravitational pull reducing drag and increasing the bottom facing down when kick flipping, Every one knows this

| It's just a sticker...
If they mistake it for another deck... then that's their problem. Plus if it says "Unique Deck Review" Then i'm for sure they know the deck is a Unique... |

| I agree with this.
I put stickers of a brand that doesn't match the deck brand but I have good reasons for putting them on.
On my Boulala Bamboo setup, I put stickers representing every brand of the setup: Boulala Bamboo (deck), Riptape (tape), Soldier Bar (truck tuning), Redemption (microwashers) and Jace (wheels).
On my Kinda deck, there is a single No Comply sticker simply because no Kinda sticker exists. No Comply wheels are on the setup and Todd produces both brands so I think it's justified. Edit: The whole setup was from No Comply, Foamy G, trucks + tuning too.
On my Blosom 25, there's a single Hatsune Miku sticker. As it's anime/music related, there's not really a conflict.
On my old Almost deck, it was a Mullen deck so I put the stickers of all of his sponsors at the time or related brands - Almost, Globe, Matix, Monster Mold and others I can't remember.
You can argue putting a FF sticker on a Unique as Mallory is on FF. I was confused at a lot of some other decks though, one had a Lowpro sticker? It's his own deck though so I can't really say much about it. I think unite stickers would be fine though, especially if it's featured in a unite review. That way, people recognise it's a unite review and there's more consistency. |

| I was really confused by the title after reading this thread. I don't see an issue with supporting a company even if you're not riding their deck, trucks, or wheels though. I am riding a Yellowood, yet I have a No Comply decal and Unite sticker on it. Why is that? Because I like to support the brands that support me, and advertise them as much as possible without being annoying.

| I always have one sticker of this snowboard/ski company called APO. Why do i do it even though it is not even related to fingerboarding? Well because i like the brand, liek the movement and the vibe around it. Also my close friend is sponsored by them so i can easilly get stickers from him. When I put fingerboard stickers on my board, it is because I like the brand, which sticker I am using and/or like the design of the sticker. I also, like GunnerBoser said, like to represent the brand without being too annoying. Therefore personally, I do not see why you wouldn't put a sticker on your board if you like the sticker or the brand. As long as I put it on your board and you like it, why should other people care for what I have on my board? Sorry it might seem offensive, I do not mean to be. I am just trying to prove a point |

I put techdeck stickers is that ok?? i do this too. blank decks to me are confusing for knowing fowards vs backwards .. so i always put two tech deck stickers under my back trucks. i like the black label elephant stickers the most. on top - i paint one of my front truck screws bright pink with nail polish - so i can easily tell fowards to backwards on my setups |

| It's not a pontless thread at all. It's just the majority of children on here are too young and naive to understand what I'm trying to get at.
I'd be fucking pissed If I sent Kerry a deck I'd worked for fucking ages on just so he could review it for free... then he puts a flatface sticker on the bottom and takes all brand identity away from it.
I fucking hate the kids on this forum... You dont know how bad you are. |

| It's a review you mong! He's taking review photos with a flatface sticker on it!
Sure, who gives a fuck AFTER he's reviewed it... but untill then he could give the original deck the respect it deserves, by showing it off the way he got it.
THINK.
ps. if you can't grasp this, dont bother replying. |

| Well people usually wait a week or two before they review a deck, maybe they get bored and want to spice it up, I myself don't put stickers on decks, especially graphics. But I mean it's all preference man. You think it's wrong, other people don't really care, then you get those kids that just like to make there own fucking graphic out of stickers haha. I can see what you're getting at, honestly. |
