| nice i love building my own obstacles and people who do the same question, would it be smart to do the foam and concrete to make a ledge (tired of using just wood and plastics). |

| Yeah you can easily do foam+concrete to make ledges, just throw some epoxy on the edges to "wax" it for better grinding, then add actual wax to it to make it even more buttery |

| just finish use modge podge gloss sealer, wood glue and some grey paint. Sanded it down to get a worn skate spot look but it look trashy. Want get better sanding skills and leave it in the vise longer so the glue doesnt push the wood up and warp the top. | i am in the process of figuring out how to build a fingerboard park for my local skatepark ( indoors ) but the kids there use tech decks with real skate board grip tape on them - and think darkslides are still a cool trick
so basicly im going to have to build something bomb proof - im wondering how the longevity of a styrophome concrete covered park will hold up to being used by people who do not respect what went in to making the park. |

Yeah that's a tough one, if it's going to be a more permanent park you might want to consider making it mostly out of cement? My park probably wouldn't last as long in those situations but one thing I wish I would have done different is mix more of this post-setting cement in the guy's mixture that helped me, because that is really strong cement (it's what you would use if you were installing a basketball hoop). If I had 2 layers of that instead of just one I think my park would be a little stronger. |
