| Ok, so i combined my realistic street spot idea with another idea. No fingerboard videos that i have seen are ever filmed like real skateboarding. So here is the idea. A go pro on a motorized track so it follows the fingerboard like a filmer would. low and angled slightly up with a fisheye. Comments, ideas and criticism would be awesome! |

| fuck that's an awesome idea probably really hard to pull it off, but it would be worth it!
I was thinking to replace the mechanical moving of the cam with filming from a further distance (on a really high res.), so you get the whole area, then using video editing software to crop the area where the fingerboard is at.
This way you dont have to worry about the speed of mechanical moving, plus you can apply it on any spot.

| Maybe this could work, but much simpler than making a motorized track thing, you could get a small RC car, then make a groove that fits the inside motor stuff perfectly! It'd make it go straight, and be cheap! Then you'd have the remote in your other hand whilst seshing |

| im sure you can easily make a slider for your self wery cheap, get some metal tube on small and the next just a bit bigger so the small fits inside it, get some wood put it ontop put a small tripod mount on it and just have someone pull it basically the easiest way i can think of for doing it |

| i agree the motorized seems unnecessary but in all honesty i think filming is pretty good as it is, it could be awesome if you do it well though. as for the spot, what kerry said. the stairs look waaaay to steep |

| Yeah, the stairs are way to steep. Last night was the first time i have ever used sketchup. So its just a rough design. But as far as the motorized track goes, I have already built a motorized go pro dolley. I used the guts of a lego train set actually! With a little modding i was able to make the speed control very adjustable!
And i know there has to be more fingeboarders in colorado i just dont know how to find them! |

Okay but as for your idea here, the camera isnt going to work as well as it is in your head.. since the trees are on the other side i assume you want to see them while its filming, and filming from the side closest to a fingerboard isnt really going to work out well because your hand will be in the way unless you are making the camera travel ahead of the camera. Also as for the camera angle if you keep it level with the fingerboard when you hit the stairs it is going to be a bit wierd.. so i think i might have an idea for this, i will make a sketchup of my idea and i will post it on here |

And we are working on building a servo powered angle plate with some simple circuitry so the camera will point down at the end of the track. for the stairs |

| You can also attach something like a hot wheel under the camera and have the motor on the opposite side of the track with string attached to the motor and the car so it can pull it. I don't think it can cost much. |

| Those planters remind me of some famous skate spot at a school somewhere in America, maybe CA? It was featured in loads of popular skate videos from the 90s/00s. Anyone know what it was? |
