Update 2nd page

I locked the old Crossed Fingers event, but I'm really trying to get this planned now.


That logo is set to change, but Crossed Fingers will be the 1st UK championships. With at least two parks, tons of ramps, and flatground to sesh, it's set to be a really sick time.

There will be only one competition, a championship in a similar format to Fast Fingers/ASI/other big events. The winner will take home £100 prize money as well as prizes from sponsors, and runners up with obviously also get prizes. There will also be raffle tickets given to everyone on entry for a raffle drawing, and product giveaways too.

It will be held in Bristol, venue isn't booked yet but I'm hoping to hold it at the Island, which right in the centre of Bristol, so extremely easy for everyone to get too.

I hope to hold the event in the October Half Term, and I need you guys' help as to which of these two saturdays you'd be able to do more:
Saturday October 27th
Saturday November 3rd

PLEASE let me know which date you could do so I can get this going!
It's REALLY easy to get to Bristol and not very far, so honestly you guys should make the effort for this. It's a pretty central location really! Megabus is always cheap, national express too, and for those of you needing to stay over if you all group together a travelodge (which is also in central bristol, maybe 10 mins walk from the venue) can be like £10 each. A few people can stay at my house also, but not many as I don't have much space. You've got ages to save if you need to for travel money, Bristol is a beautiful and fantastic city with tons of free things to do for parents if they're driving you down (such as the Mshed museum which is around 10 minutes walk from the venue), and for those travelling down by bus/train it's only a short distance (5 min walk from the bus station, 20 min walk/5 minute bus ride from the train station) to get to the venue.

Shotgun crashing at ya pad will bring a case of coke for you and I'm good for either dates finally i can show you guys how crap i am at fingerboarding how much we looking at for entry costs? and is alcohol permitted inside the venue?

Might be in belgium but it's unlikely, 27th sounds good seeing as it's 2 weeks after my birthday so I should still have a small supply of money

I'd probably go by train but if Danny and other people from Leeds are going, I might be able to offer a lift if everyone chips in.

drink any alcohol and you'll be instantly thrown out, sorry entry fees should be no more than £5
and the 'people crashing at my house' is kind of already fully booked with people I've discussed this with ages ago. I'm sure a ton of people will be getting a travelodge though, get in on that and save moniez that way

God dam no alcohol! got a few lads coming with me now also and to be fair i wouldn't expect a stranger to sleep in your house lol.. plus I plan on hitting the town on the night ! bristols supposed to have a good club scene

UPDATE:

Going to see the venue on monday, the place are really interested in the event and I think the date is all good too, so fingers crossed on monday the date + venue will be confirmed and we can move this forward full steam ahead. Really stoked!

The venue is 'the island' in Bristol city centre, and it'll be the 27th october. Hopefully

I think it woulda been interesting to go in a whole different direction than the 'competitional' element. Basically, the longer the comp goes on,the less time everyone has to fb together.

why dont we just give the prize to eddie now? He's the best in the uk. If it's all about skill, just give it to him!

will be good to hear more info when available though.
