Personally, I don't care about religion. I think it's confusing and can sometimes be dumb. I'm agnostic btw.

I dont have much of an opinion on religion itself but it seems like some people take it too far in supporting their religion. It causes too many problems and I wish it didn't exist.

Religion, I respect what other people want to believe, since it's their own choice and opinion! I'd never insult anyone over their religion since we all believe different things, and it's all a matter of opinion.
My opinion, however, that religion is a whole makes so sense. The stories, the teachings, I just find it hard to want to follow anything like it. I also feel that most religions essentially teach the same things, but with different names, they all worship a god, but with a different name for example. I guess a reason that I don't have a religion, or believe in any, is because science and logic makes much more sense to me, the big bang makes a lot more sense than a man with a beard creating the world in 7 days.
I guess it gives some people guidance though, especially in times of grief and trouble, so I guess it's kind of a good thing in that way?
If people want to believe in a religion, I don't mind them doing it, it's their life! Personally, I don't believe in it though.

While I don't believe in any religions myself, I think it's good that some people do I guess? (it keeps the old folks off the streets on Sundays)
Debating it with a Christian is like talking to Helen Keller. No matter what you say, they'll ignore you and make weird noises.
If atheists can respect their beliefs, why can't they stop forcing theirs on us?
Also, the United States won't fully legalize gay marriage because this country was founded on Christianity and corrupt religions.
Christianity is a corrupt religion, and I think for the most part it's a scam.
Also, old people, and most other people just go to church because they fear "God" and don't want to "burn in Hell."
If God were real, I would imagine he being a huge dick. Seriously, who gives their "children" millions of diseases and plagues them with shitty lives? He isn't proving anything other than that he's a smelly poon...
Please, cometh towards my direction, brethren.

^^ most of the points i would have made, a few more but dont feel like typing them atm expect a rant after a few posts
Religion is good in the sense that it sets in stone good morals and teachings, in which many people can look to when life is harsh, stops them doing very crazy things.
However, the fact that basically the same objective (worshipping God) is split down into so many different religions really causes too much trouble than it's worth.
I'll probably add a lot more to counter a religious person's argument when they express their feelings in this thread, but for now, this is where I stand on the subject!
I dont believe in gods. But when im in some kind of trouble, im always like "Help me god" in my head.

I'm the only person that's going to comment for religion, as it seems. Haha.
I am a Christian. I'm pretty strong-minded about the whole subject, so please don't try to talk me out of it for whatever reason. I'm just going to go through a few of the main points that make me upset about people's visions of Christians, along with stupid things Christians do.
I'm not going to try and make you all agree with my beliefs. In my opinion, it's your right to believe what you want. I believe in heaven and hell, but I'm not going to threaten you with hell to try to get you to "change your ways" and all that. I find it pointless and stupid tho threaten you with something you don't believe in.
On the whole gay marriage subject, it's not my place to point out the sins of others while I have sins of my own. I completely disagree with all the Christians that are fighting as hard as they can to disallow gay marriage. It's not like if gay marriage is legal means you MUST do it.
I don't know, it's what I believe. I don't think I should force my beliefs on others or judge them for theirs. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Thanks for reading

wondering if should post something that will just disrespect and tell off all people who believe in the christian god and make them speechless or just be smart and keep it to self.
In all. If you need religion or belief in god to help you sleep at night, overcome your insecurities, do it. that's awesome. some people don't need that.

Thats why it makes me hard to believe in a religion right there. It becomes tiring to here my cousin who went to jail say "god put me here to teach me a lesson" its bull shit like that , that grinds my gears ( wathcing that on netflix felt the reference was needed)

I'm nominally Pastafarian but am generally atheist.
Having grown up in England, I've been very influenced by Christianity. I did not realise it when I was younger but it is much more apparent now that I am older.
Shops in UK that close on Sundays - This is not common in China. English school system (not sure about other parts of UK or world) having holidays based around an always changing Christian holiday, Easter, rather than a fixed Spring Break like in other countries. Forced to sing Christian hymns and the Lord's Prayer at primary school - it wasn't even a Christian school and it was a public state school.
These, and other things, need to change in the UK.
Amongst other things, I believe many countries' abortion laws need to change in order to protect the health of the mothers and children. This is very difficult due to religion.
My personal opinion is that people may have whatever faith they like. It is not easy to change others' faiths nor do we really need to. Where faiths affect all people, we must find solutions and implement them to accommodate everyone.
I fucking hate debating. Religion is one of my most hated subjects. I'm outta here.

we are all gods of our selfs. For example You control who you are, the person you want to be, you set your own goals, take care of your self, Create your own fate, and create your own afterlife.
