| Okay, so I can so a simple kickflip to mostly any basic grind. Also varial kicks, tres, varial heels, lazers, and rarely nollie kickflips.. But.. and this is a very big BUT....
... I can only do them onto ledges. I just made a rounded rail and I cannot, for the life of me, do a simple kickflip to 5-0. My aim always ends up so badly judged and when I do managed to aim it PERFECTLY, the board swings 90 degrees to the side at the very last second and I begin doing a boardslide (with fingers pointed straight out like a dumbass) while I'm sitting there like.. Wait a second.. That kickflip was perfectly straight! Wtf just happened?
By this point, clean kickflips to FS boardslides are sooooo easy. All I have to do is try everything I can to kickflip into a 5-0, but turn my wrist and fingers to catch and land the board correctly. xP
Anyone know what I'm wrong? |

| Now take this with a grain of salt because I'm terrible at fingerboarding. From what I've learned in some of the stuff I can do... It's all about how you catch and land the board... You need to be very straight when you land on a rounded rail. Other than that just keep practicing. It's the only thing that ever works in Fingerboarding. (That and remembering to have fun) |

| practice kickflips on flat, a lot. learn to catch them properly.
Otherwise.. if its turning, make sure your wrist isn't flicking one direction by accident. |

| Thanks for the tips! I'm trying to get it as straight as possible, and I'm pretty sure that I'm keeping everything straight.. But it's really hard to tell since everything is so tiny. xP I think my catch is the most important factor to worry about, but it seemed as though I had it down pretty good on ledges.. Maybe not. Oh well. More time spent learning. |

| Try to flick the board straight, lined up with the obstacle. Also make sure that your popping straight down. What Kerry also said is good, practice them on flat and try to catch them up high, that helps alot. I actually might film a tutorial for this if i do ill send it to you |

| Try coming at the rail straight on, and look at the board as it flips. That will help you catch it straight and flat, or at least it does for me.
hope this helps
Also this is really bugging me... what band tee are you wearing in your avatar picture? lol |
