| I've never tried Magic lantern or anything like that because I'm afraid of messing up the camera.

| it's just a firmware you add to your memory card, don't think it can really fuck up your camera. gives more options for things like more ISOs, more manual settings, etc, etc. I've not personally done it yet, but it's something on my long list of things I'll do at some point |
