that Mike Schneider review got you too back then didn't it At the time Close Up G1's came out, they were actually quite impressive. They were the first to sell single axle trucks, and they used urethane wheels. I loved my Close Up G1 to death. My first deck was a Berlinwood, 25 or 26mm. Birdseye bottom. TD Trucks and wheels. Rip tape tuning (tape + bushings). I also got a Berlinwood oldschool along with it, no concave at all. |

Close Up G1 for me too. I was waiting for a Berlinwood Regular stock but missed about 2 stocks of them since I wasn't on FFI where you get news on everything. In the meantime, I got a Close Up G1. What Mikkel said was right. They were the first to have an affordable complete fingerboard with many premium features (at the time) like a wooden deck, single-axle trucks, urethane wheels and silicone bushings. Berlinwood Regular and Close Up G2 were my 2nd and 3rd boards. |

| First wooden deck was actually an old school shape 80's deck from cheapskates skate shop back in 1994,don't know who made it or anything and only used it as a keychain after about a day of playing with it,lol.first one that I used for real was a zshred thought it was great till I realised how thick it was, still love the wheels lost em though. |
