KL wood bench or BRR street bench? the KL looks more sturdy and well made, but however the street bench looks cooler and more 'street' the prices are more or less the same but im just not sure what one. so then, what is better?

When i save images on my camera in RAW format, to get the best quality, then try view them on my computer it doesn't recognise the CR2 format. If anyone could tell me how to convert these to jpeg or simply view them it would be a massive help, cheers
Subject: Re: Quick Questions Mon Dec 03, 2012 4:55 pm
no offence, but if you don't know how to handle raw chances are you don't have a need for it. just save as the highest quality jpeg on your camera - unless you're doing editing with photoshop (and even then it's not 100% needed) or something like that jpeg at max quality should be more than fine. And if you were using photoshop I'm pretty sure it'd open all raw files? Might be wrong on that last bit, not sure on that as I use GIMP rather than photoshop.

Yeah I only just got my new Canon, before that my last one simply had large, medium or small. A friend with a lot of experience told me to shoot in RAW as it was much higher, in future I'll stick to JPEG though ahaha. And I have GIMP but it won't open the CR2 images, is there any particular way to go about opening them?

What I have heard so far about RAW is that you can like change the iso and all that in your photo editing software (not 100% sure but I think so). I use JPEG and I get awesome quality with that (I use a 550D) and this is a nonedited photo taken in JPEG.

yeah I the quality is good on JPEG and I'll probably use that in future, but for now I have a load of CR2 files which I need to access. I took them on a 650d if that helps?

I don't really understand anything about files and that kind of stuff haha.
A question about deck making. Basically I never get 100% perfect holes. I have tried to use a tech deck as a template but it still seems like I don't get the holes perfect. I have also tried to make a metal template with help out of a Tech Deck which turned out pretty good but it's still not 100% perfect. 3 holes are perfect but then there is this one hole which isn't just right. I have heard about this method when you don't use a template and just draw some dots where you are going to drill. I'm using a Dremel with a drillpress stand to drill my holes. Can anyone help me?

There is no problem for me to draw the holes perfect. It seems like every time I drill trough a deck the drill kinda start to bend/slightly move a little bit. Professional finished decks also have countersinks which makes it harder to get the drill perfectly in the middle. What I am looking for is a strong template that won't wear out (the holes not getting bigger when you drill trough them).

When you drill it through make sure that the drill bit is vertical and there is a 90degree angle all the way round. Also, when you use the techdeck or fingerboard, clamp it firmly onto the deck so it would move when you drill it because that's probably what is happening (the drill bit turns and will probably turn the template deck).

The drill is straight and the tech deck doesn't move. I just tried that "make a dot" method and it worked surprisingly well I'll ask my friend if I can buy a Tech Deck from him tomorrow as all my tech decks are fucked up from drilling lol.
