| having some trouble making a fingerboard, firstly, I used a tech deck as an outline, and drew around it on 5 layers of veneer, then stuck them together using wood glue. I used two tech decks as the mold, and clamped the whole thing together. after a while, I removed the clamps and the wood was very flimsy, Had I removed it too early? or is it something to do with the wood glue that i'm using? I will be looking at getting a mold shortly, but was just using the tech decks to see how it went as a practice. any advice would be appreciated |

| First off.. You don't want to cut your veneer into deck shape before you mold it. Cut the plies square, then mold it, then sand it down to the shape.
Use wood glue to glue the plies together.
What kind of veneer are you using? |

What kind of veneer are you using? I'll try that next time, not sure what veneer it is, I brought it off of GIllybear |
