| 1) Sector 9's have shitty trucks and meh-tastic wheels
2) They are often seens as a beginner's longboard brand because of how they are sold at west 49 and zumiez
Also for the amount of money you drop on a sector 9 you could easily just buy a real setup that wouldnt throw you off a hill
Go check it out sector 9 are one of the most hated brands in the longboard community... they wont even let people review their products on silverfish because people just give it such ultra low reviews
they appeal to people who think longboarding is for cruising around and not doing any tricks or hitting any hills... if you wanna do that by all means go ahead and buy a sucktor 9 but when you want to hit the real hills the big boys will be waiting |

| Not sure if Nickel boards are classified as a longboard, a mini cruiser? Anyways, that's what I ride, I love bombing hills on it, and it's also how I get around town, and I can still do tricks on it that I could do on a regular skateboard |

I don't think I'd ever buy a longboard. I just get more out of skateboarding. I can do things like classic flips, early indy flips, cross steps and manuals. A small amount of tricks and no decent local terrain just isn't worth it for me (although the city I'm in right now would be awesome for longboarding). |

Word man I was always really shitty at skateboarding I can ollie on to curbs and that's about it. I fell to much and got hurt a lot but I'm way better at going fast and I just feel like longboarding was the tree of skateboarding that I am most compatible with... It just has it's own unique little culture that and I still don't have my licence and longboarding allows me to go as fast as some cars sometimes (if the hill is right).

| I like longboards they are fun but really limited in what you can do get a wider longer skateboard and some big ass wheels, that's what I do to bomb hills.
I own some unbranded longboard I Got really cheap, it's a lot of fun but I couldn't carry it around all day as a commuter tool, fair play max |

| These are my two main whips... One is known as "Tank" because it's literally smashed into so much shit and is as solid as the day I bought it. It's also super wide and the most stable thing I've ever ridden (not to mention the deck was only $100 which is dirt cheap for longboard gear). The second one is just my little campus crusher which I mainly used to ride around the college and was nice and small so I could bring it into classes and not worry about lugging a 40" board everywhere. It's also a great whip for riding to the corner store and back although I have been thrown off of it being reckless. I do have a sector 9 but I don't post pictures of it because it's honestly a piece of garbage. I got it for like $100 flat so I'm not complaining but for the price that sector 9 charges you could get a complete from Earthwing that is a way better built longboard that is going to last longer and be a much more enjoyable ride. And remember in skateboarding it's usually not cool to wear a helmet, most longboarders wouldn't be caught dead without their brain buckets... |

| Those longboards look awesome. I always want to have a go on longboards but don't want to buy my own. Last time I saw one was when someone brought on to Hyde Park skatepark in Leeds. I didn't go up to him straight away when he arrived on it but he left too early and I wanted to wait for an acceptable amount of time between the guy arriving and me asking to go on it. Sad. |

| Depends on what you want to do.
If you just want to cruise around you can easily find some beginner shit.
If you want to shred the gnar and learn how to slides and bomb hills you're going to need to invest a little more than 160.
Take a peak at Muirskate if you're in America I hear they're awesome. |

| xi you call yourself a skateboarder and you dont know what it means to shred the gnar? it means basically you just go balls out on some crazy-ass tricks, or multiple tricks. watch american misfits(tv show) and youlll know. slides are powerslides and such, but they're crucial to know if your a serious longboarder. ex, pendulum slide |

| Xi... Slides are basically powerslides except there are a whole bunch of different styles like using your hands... front side, backside. You basically do them as you are going down a hill as a style of longboarding or to help control speed...
In Skateboarding powerslides are super easy because of how hard and small the wheels are... in longboarding it takes a little bit more effort because your wheels, board and trucks are often bigger and weigh more as well as having softer wheels.
I wish you had Youtube... I'd show you a couple of videos to describe what I am talking about.
ALSO Penny Skateboards are just cruisers... They aren't longboards. |

They're super fun! Soo smooth to. A penny is more money but they are very well made. I'd go with a penny any day. |
