| I just bought my first fingerboard two weeks ago, and decided to get a rail. The one's I found online seemed really nice, but a bit pricey for just having started out. So I went to home depot and bought a few feet of square 1/4" rod, cut them up, and jb welded them together. 2 1/4" tall 11" long 1/2" wide questions, comments or tips? |

| not bad, but you may want to try getting 1/8" round rod and drilling holes 3/4 of the way through the square piece so that they'll look a bit more professional but besides that man it looks nice! |

| If you are cool with the rough look then it's perfect as long as it's sturdy and doesn't tip over. The scene is flooded with kids that want to start a company because they can glue i piece of granite to a piece of wood and call it a ledge. It's nice to see people just make their own stuff instead of buying all the time |

Makes makes me want to dye one of my ramps turquoise. You should! Though you'd need like a bucket for a ramp haha. And make sure you mask or remove the metal parts. |

Not at all. I let them soak for about a 45 minutes before I took them out. Didn't want to leave them in there too long, RIT dye is water based and I didn't want the wood to warp. |

| That looks so cool It'd be awesome to see one with each piece a darker shade, if anyone understands that? Like a fade across the pieces. |
