PostSubject: Camera advice?   Camera advice? EmptyTue Nov 06, 2012 11:23 pm

A lot of people on here have good cameras and probably know a bit about cameras so I figured this is the perfect place to ask (and hopefully the right section tongue )

Basically, my parents can't think of anything to get me for my christmas so I said I'd like a camera.

I'm not buying a camera for fingerboarding, I like taking pictures of scenery and all that jazz. Once I've got a bit better at fingerboarding, I may look to record some stuff, but it's certainly not my main priority at the moment. I'm just looking for a decent camera, not all too fussed on megapixels etc as I don't know all that much about cameras. I'd also like 720p video for vlogs and the like.

I'm looking to spend around £150 max.

Here's a few I'm looking at:
http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5598249.htm - Nikon L810
http://www.jessops.com/online.store/categories/products/fujifilm/finepix-sl245-bridge-camera-exclusive-to-jessops-84329/show.html - Fujifilm Finepix SL245 (it's cheaper on pixmania but their website is down for maintenance at the moment)
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nikon-COOLPIX-L310-Compact-Digital/dp/B00729YXP0/ref=sr_1_78?s=photo&ie=UTF8&qid=1352244093&sr=1-78 - Nikon Coolpix L310

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Finepix are actually pretty nice. Jake has one, and I like it. You can't put lenses on them, though.

For 720p, good video's, zoom-in while filming, good pics.
