Yes another thread about northwoods and final one. Hopefully this one doesn't get locked. Any news and updates on northwoods will be posted here.


The first news is that other than 29mm decks there will soon be 31mm wide decks aswell. I can't wait to try one and it should be nice for the peeps who like wide decks. At first it was just an idea to have 31mm decks but after the recommendation's J finally did it.

Second news is that there will soon be graphics which should be cool. I haven't seen anything yet but I will find out more about it.

im glad hes going wider.
the only thing my NW needed was a bit more width. imma try get a 32mm from him though.

Also, northwoods wouldn't annoy me so much, but the only time we ever hear about them here is to promote his company company. This is a forum, not an advertising space.

He doesn't like coming here because all he gets is hate when he does end up coming around :p

Northwoods actually good company , but everyone think he made mass produced, because the deck is covered with plastic or whatever. in my opinion the decks are pretty good and they also got top best proffesional packaging .

Melvin you have to be kidding. rember these decks have no pop the clear coat had these weird lines at the tail like it cracked and the tails and nose are boxed

Danny he might have gotten aggravated because you hadn't tried his board. Idk. I never saw how this whole thing started so I won't say anymore.
All I know is that the owner is super cool and professional, and the decks are great and unique. Most newer companies come out with bland, "already done" shapes.

Im not an idiot but the plastic is like a thic coat over the board i cant explain it but compare it to flatface, redemptions

the laqure is horrible.

The lacquer is really good though. Super shiny. No idea what was wrong with ur deck.

A company that:
a) Has no involvement with the scene whatsoever.
b) Gets everything trademarked and copyrighted (or whatever the actual word that is) when the company has no recognition.
c) Sells their products at a stupid price.

Is blatantly just trying to make money from fingerboarding.

But whatever, I wouldn't care if he had some involvement in the scene, but the only time we hear about northwood is when there's a sale (hardly a sale), or when they're trying to sell their shit. I've got no opinion on their decks because I've never tried one, but I've heard bad things about them, and they look as though they're made out to be something that they're not. Power line? really? I highly doubt it makes any difference.

Northwoods is not involved in the scene at all.

He's just using his snowboarding terminology for marketing. Power-line, sweet ridge.

Fingershop is different, since the owner doesn't speak great English, its harder for him to be part of English speaking forums. Fingershop is also primarily a UK mitt distributor, well, the owner is related to the owners of mitt. Mitt is more involved in the polish scene as far as I know. When the Fingershop owner has finished moving house and stuff, he will be putting more work into the company.
Jared is English speaking, he has no reason not to be involved in the scene.

I see where you're coming from. But if you were 20 something years older than everyone on a website, would you feel compelled to participate as much as others? on top of his age, he has a career and family which makes him extremely busy.

Northwoods look nice(craftsmanship) but the shape ehhh too extreme

Actually rc make their own tape. If u want toi know more about em contact the owner Todd from Nocomply and BBrandon from rc are close friends. Rc sell noco decks aswell as nw decks.

I remember him telling me he buys the foam bit from a company in the US then he buys adhesive in a can and the yellow backing. Brandon is 100 percent legit His tape is the best. Better than rip that's for sure
