You want maple veneer as a start, 0.6mm thick (I think is the standard). I've gotten some off eBay as a tester and it seems alright, if of questionable quality sometimes. |

last time i called their customer service reps i asked how thick their veneer packs are and he said that all of the packs are 1/64th that was about 2 years ago |
