I don't know much about making your own decks but i'm pretty sure you want ply? You can buy decent plies from a few fb webstores around, take a look, you'll find it happy

You want maple veneer as a start, 0.6mm thick (I think is the standard). I've gotten some off eBay as a tester and it seems alright, if of questionable quality sometimes.

If you could link me to a place that sells 1/64 i'd be greatful. 1/42 is the standard thickness of veneer.

1/64th inch is what your looking for. http://www.woodcraft.com/category/1002240/veneer-packs.aspx

last time i called their customer service reps i asked how thick their veneer packs are and he said that all of the packs are 1/64th

Looks sick Brian!! btw I got your woodburn graphic deck yesterday it's AMAZING dude!!!

Here are some decks I finished recently for some customers happy I really like the ply combo this one person chose (top deck on the next two pics), probably one of my favorites ever!

^Is anyone else like me where you're more comfortable looking at decks from this angle? lol Idk why I'm like that. Didn't take a pic of the bottom plies but they are two blanks and two heat transfer graphics (bird and flower tag)

This was a simple maple/maple/maple/blue/blue ply deck but I liked how it looked. happy
