Hi to all the FBHQ crew,if this picture posts you should be looking at a board that I finished today. It is an experiment and has copper as the bottom layer.I realise that it doesnt look the best but it was a rush job and I just wanted to share it with yall.I was asked if I could make this board so I took up the challenge. It is functional but way heavier than any other board I have made or tried before.I am curious if anyone on here has seen any other decks with metal on the bottom or has had experience with a similar board.

A lot of people have made decks with metal bottom plies. I personally have never used one but they seem like they would slide really well.

These are some of the split plies that I have done,I am still trying to iron out some kinks.Your feedback would be greatly appreciated. OH and Kerry,Yes the copper is probably too soft on the copper bottom,I havent had much chance to play with it,other than the flat bar in the picture.I will endevour to let you know what I think in a couple of weeks.

Wow, those are some SWEET decks... the splits are kinda fadish yet colorful, and I like how it goes together. Also my BK metal bottom is lighter than a regular five ply board because Adam uses aluminum from soda cans. But that's pretty unique using copper, didn't know it was heavy though.
