Hey guys,

The last few years we've had a Secret Santa going but I haven't seen one pop up yet!
I figured I may as well get it organised sooner rather than later to make sure everyone gets their stuff before Christmas!

So the way it works (for those who don't know), is that each person sends some fingerboard products to their given address, then the person receiving keeps it until Christmas and opens it on the day! People won't know who is sending to them, and to make it fairer I've decided that people won't know who they're sending to either . Makes sense, there's obviously members on here who aren't favoured by others, and we don't want reputation to be factored into the presents that are sent.

So, to clear things up fully, here's the rules!

1. If you wish to take part, you must have positive references on the Quick Reference list.

2. The value of the products must be above £10/$16. Whereas Christmas is about giving, nobody wants to send out a load of good stuff and receive a pile of junk.

3. In response to rule 2, any home made stuff will need to be approved with named and dated pictures.

4. Proof of postage must be provided, it's not hard to ask for a receipt when you send the package.

5. No mass produced China products! Only include these outside the £10 minimum value, for reference they should be regarded as zero value.


How it will work;

Step 1; Comment on this thread stating 'I'm in' or anything similar, you get the gist.

Step 2; I'll ask for address', so you guys can all PM them to me.

Step 3; I'll count up all of the people, and pull names out of a hat to decide who's sending to who and draw up a spreadsheet.

Step 4; I'll send out addresses to people, at this point you guys should ask me or possibly another designated member is products are suitable (homemade, questionable value etc.)

Step 5; You guys send the packages out, and send me proof of postage.

Step 6; When people receive their packs, they will post in a confirmation thread and keep them sealed until Christmas!

Step 7; I'm sure you can guess this one, you all open them at Christmas and post in one of the related threads what you got!

Tips

1. When you send the package, put your return address on the back without your name on! It stops the recipient guessing who sent to them, and keeps it safe at the same time.

2. Include a note or something saying who the package was from (yourself)!

3. Send as soon as possible, the earlier you send the less chance that it will get lost!

So yeah, that's pretty much everything, if you guys need anymore clarification on anything feel free to ask!

Yeah, it can add up to £6, but don't send something like 6 sets of o-rings, it needs to be something of considerably good value.

Idk, it's kind of risky with stamps if you get given someone who lives overseas, and there's no way to prove postage. Well, unless you film yourself posting it and the address etc.
I'm gonna go with the post office only though, because post gets busy around Christmas time, so proof of postage is a must!
Whereas I know you're legit, you may end up with someone who isn't so understanding so it's probably best to go with the post office!
