| Firstly, before any colors, you should improve your style(s), letters, basics fill ins. All with a paperpen and a basic black marker. You can ad a white "paint" marker to do some highlight effects. When your confident enought with your style and favorite word(s) you can start basic colors. To select your markers, all depends of the support you'll be graffing on. On paper, better take cheap waterwolor pen. Expensive ones have better colors, but need special paper (layout paper). You can also take stabilo pen 68 (http://www.stabilo.com/pages-fr/products/pen-68/) good chose of colors. On wood, stone, concrete : go for paint markers. You have different brands Posca : http://www.posca.com/frMolotov one4all : http://www.molotow.com/french/produits/marqueur-encre/one4all/Ontherun : http://www.ontherun.de/... (french shop : http://www.maquis-art.com/shop/7-9-57-1-Art-markers-Graffiti-Maquis-Art.com.html where you can find different brands) I also recommend the book "street fonts", where you can find a lot of differents graffiti alphabets (http://www.amazon.fr/Street-fonts-anglais-Claudia-Walde/dp/050051559X) |

| I just draw stuff out on paper then I turn it into stencils on the computer...
I usually just make single colour stencils for quick and easy application but I have been known to make up to 4 colour stencils... When making those I just use 2 dots to help me line up the several stencils needed to make the piece and then paint over them when I'm done.
I'm not encouraging anyone to do anything illegal though. |
