| Hey guys! I'm thinking of starting a company from the UK, PodFB, I've been doing my research and found a good, cheap-ish mold and a good veneer supplier to start off with. I also realized a few months ago that I had a pretty good talent for woodwork. Anyway, I wanted to make a company to gain a bit more money, and its actually quite fun. I came here for help because there are quite alot of FB companies out there, so would I actually stand a chance? Please help! |

| yes. you'll be rich beyond your wildest dreams and everyone is going to support you. srs though, at least you're honest that you're just trying to make money. kudos for honesty, but I doubt anyone is going to want to support that mentality. ANDFUCKINGHUGEAND.. the main point is whether your decks are any good or not |

| I don't think I'll buy off someone who's been making decks for few months and that's in for money. I mean there's tons of deck companies out there who worked on deck making for years before selling their decks. So why buy from you? |

I'm not entirely in for money, to be honest. My dad popped the idea to me because we're pretty poor and HE needs the money too. Sorry if the explanation isn't great. I hate having to write essays of text for something as easy to explain as that! |

| Mistake number 1: No products produced beforehand. Show us what you can do, then we can offer improvements and advice. Mistake number 2: Mentioning that you're in it for the money. It's generally looked down on, you won't get rich from fingerboarding, most companies barely produce profit. Mistake number 3: PodFB. Can you imagine that being a respected brand? Choose something that's relevant and original. Take on those issues, then try this thread again |

| Age doesn't matter when starting companies, it's all about maturity Melvin. Look at Mike Schneider, he was 11 when he started Flatface. He's 19 now it says on the FF site that he made over hundreds of molds to just perfect 1! Who knows maybe this kid can make pretty good decks, we just have to wait. Pictures would also be nice. |

| I would start to make some decks and show us them and we can tell you what you can improve. Age doesn't really matter. I'm 12 and I have a small sucsessfull company. Maybe try to get a better name?
Go for it! |

| your customers care about the name. so the name does matter. but who cares about the name at the current time. all i want to see is products and reviews on your product before i even look the side your on.
work on your company and products then make a new thread |
