Tbh, I think it brings realism. Not that it's a 7ply but if you had a real wear on this then it would be quite realistic because the graphic wears and then eventually it will snap depending how hard you use it.

Funny actually, I remember a thread on FFI a loooong time ago, Redemption (I think it was Redemption) was experimenting with 34-36mm decks lol
