I saw a cool skating bit from Andrew Schrock, and skating looked like fun to me. I have an old setup from my brother, and I can't balance on it to save my life. My brother goes to college, so I can't get help from him, and he wasn't very good. I just wanted to know if anyone had any tips on skating. It looks fun, and I want to be able to, mostly because my friends who can skate poke fun at me for not being able to.
awkward
So any tips will help me, thanks

If you have a street or driveway, just practice pushing and keeping you balance. Get a feel for carving and keeping that board under your feet. Simple balance is really up to you, not really any tips for that. Remember that getting hurt is all part of it. It's like learning how to ride a bike really, doing it over and over until you get comfortable.
