| Just because she's sponsored doesn't mean she has to say that they're good. I don't think Marie would like to be sponsored by a company if she didn't like their products. Luis, if you were ever sponsored by Oak Wheels or LowPro would that change your opinion on how they are now? There are many examples of riders on this forum that love the products of which their sponsors make.

| ^ Has it occured to you that she's only one of the few people who own them here so we asked her to comment because she has one?
Just because she's sponsored doesn't make her comment biased. Many riders owned Flatface decks and Berlinwood decks and (insert whatever company we have now that makes great decks actually) before they got sponsored by those companies. Does them getting sponsored by them make the quality not-that-good just because they said it's good? I don't think anything changes.
Don't automatically assume that sponsored riders only push products. We aren't salesmen. |

There should be an element of the salesperson about it; I'd be unhappy if a sponsored rider bad mouthed the company. They should act like an employee, since they represent the brand. THAT SAID, they should be fans of the brand before they are sponsored and have the brand's best interest at heart. They should want to see it grow and expand and improve. They should be a vital part of that, both in development and in sales and advertising. EDIT: When I say employee I don't mean that they follow the owner's beck and call; just that they show respect to the brand and display themselves in a way fitting to the brand. They can do a lot of good or an awful lot of harm to a brand's identity.

| Okay rephrase: Of course they would have to help promote the brand, but they can't be doing it blindly. Like Chris said, there's a difference between a salesperson who has tried the product and knows what he's talking about and a difference between a salesperson who doesn't care and is just trying to make a quick buck.. My point is that it's not nice to straightaway assume that the words from a sponsored rider sounds less credible. Bit jumping to conclusions a little too quickly, don't you think?

| noo don't wd40 it erodes the bearings, well it does skateboard bearings anyway. Baby oil works well but you would probably need to wear it in as fb bearings are tiny. |
