Leaf Ledges Empty
PostSubject: Leaf Ledges   Leaf Ledges EmptySat Jan 05, 2013 4:51 am

Hey guys,
So recently my friend and I started making fingerboard obstacles and eventually started to sell them. He does the concrete/micro ledge stuff and I do the big ledges at this point. We're still perfecting them, they're far from perfect, but they are extremely fun to fingerboard on. We're still working on the prices. Also, in an effort to get the word out a bit, we are hosting tryouts too. One of the things we're focusing on is to keep it environmentally friendly company, using wood that has become almost obsolete from yard signs in the past election.

Thanks guys!

If they're far from perfect, are you sure you're ready to sell them and start hosting tryouts?
They look nice, But I don't want it to break on me wink

But I like the environmentally friendly company thing. Sounds good

I agree with Xavier and they don't exactly look like anything different from a lot of the other people making ledges. Like Ken said, what makes your stuff different?

We're working on a new mold for ledges, but as I previously stated I'm not the concrete guy. I have tons of ideas which I cant wait to try out
I checked on a Leaf Fingerboards, it looks like they're pretty unactive and they only post to Facebook. Also they're french I think. annnd we make obstacles.

Best place to display your wares is NOT on your messy bed. White backgrounds, make it easy to see what you're selling. Work out your unique selling point. Anyone can make a manny pad with a Tupperware box and 500g of Portland cement....

I agree 100% the other owner took that one and I already asked him to retake it. Good advice, thanks

Ok, so, I've kind of started doing a few more concrete obstacles, and some of the molds are different than I've seen anybody do. Pictures will be up soon, I've been slammed with school lately so when I get a chance I'll pour the concrete.

Just a basic idea of the new mold, still working out the kinks in reducing the amount of air bubbles etc. The ledge is insane smooth though! Just put another one in the mold.

Yep, working on that. I'm making some pretty unique molds right now. But I feel like some people are going to go for the lower priced obstacles, which will be basic curbs. I want there to be a little variety, ya know?

If you price it right and they are good then people will buy simple curbs though

The curbs look real sick! very simple, but very nice! I would definitely buy one when this company really gets underway. You should try some different colors though. Colors no-one else has, like purple or yellow, you know what i mean

Best bit of advice, look through skate mags and pull stuff from real life that you'd love to skate. I've got four designs at the moment, and only one came from the fingerboarding world happy
