| Appleyard, you go through a lot of boards man, I was wondering about the tech boards with the impact support and carbon fibre plies, these are all made by Dwindle Distribution aren't they?
Would you say that it's all just sales pitch these new technologies they implement into their boards designs?
I'm on the lookout for a new 8.25" and I was going to look into a Cliché or Almost, but if you're saying they die pretty fast then I don't think I'll bother.
Really need a new popsicle shape as my Element is 7.75 which feels way too narrow for my feet, it flips with ease but I'm not comfortable on it at all.
I stupidly passed my Girl x Thrasher 8.25 onto a friend, which I really regret I should have given him the Element instead.
But it gives me an excuse to go but myself a new board.
If anyone has any suggestions that'd be much appreciated too, 8.25 to 8.5", graphic doesn't bother me as it's just gonna get worn off anyway.
I've been thinking about importing a Skull Skates 8.5" but by the time I pay shipping and import fees it'll cost me a fortune.
Thanks in advance folks.

| The impact support boards may last longer, never skated one. Although 10 or so years ago element had a carbon fiber strip in their fiberlight decks and whilst it did not break traditionally in the middle or nose or tail i cracked some of the wood around it and it got pretty soggy. Personally I like stiff boards that you can feel have a better glue, Chapman Wood who presses: zoo york, shut, ammo, hopps. NHS boards even though they are made in mexico/china are always good : creature, santa cruz, flip. Generator wood is great they press: DGK, Expedition One, Organika, Real, Anti Hero, Krooked, and Polar. Ps Stix pressed boards (Stereo, Element, Welcome, AWS, Birdhouse, Habitat) have always been hit or miss for me and they press element. Some of my favorite boards have been ps stix and some of my least favorite have been as well. When it comes down to it as long as a board feels around my size I will skate anything. At the same time, when you are spending hard earned money on skateboards its good to get something that feels right. Stand on everything. Stay away from ordering online so you can have a good look at the shape and also so you can support your local skate shop as much as you can. |

| I am skating an 8.0 3D board. Its perfection. Pretty mellow chill shape and feels quite sturdy. |

| Thanks guys, I always try to support the local shop, he's the only place around here and he's been around for years too, but he is just a salesman at the end of the day who hasn't skated for many years, and he has a lot of questionable stock like Union trucks and boards, Renner completes, a bunch of cheap wheels as well.
I've even asked him to order me a Roskopp face 1 reissue but he says he cant get them, but I can find them online that say they're 2014 reissues.
I'll go in and see what boards he has in stock though, last time I was in they were all less than 8" though.
My Heroin board is a no go for flip tricks, its great for riding transitions (that's what I put it together for) but it weighs a ton and trying flips takes way too much effort compared to a modern style skateboard.
8.5" is what I'm wanting ideally but I'd be happy enough on 8.25", I might just get another Heroin board as I really like my current one. |

I'm sure revive products are good and all but fuck do they need to get some art direction. Their graphics are pretty brutal. They should find a local artist to make them some graphics that are easier on the eyes. |

| 8.5" Heroin DMODW Stage 11 Indy's Spitfire F1 street burners Bones Redz. Can't wait to sesh this thing. Don't know why the pic looks as if my wheels overhang the edges of the board, they don't, I can see the axle nuts ever so slightly when I look down, must be the flash on my camera that causes this. |
