I just hand sanded three sketchy ledges into something skateable, with sandpaper designed or wood. I'm having a bath while I wait for paint to dry, then I'm gonna do logos and detail work, then seal them with a PVA sealant. Long night is long...early morning is early...long drive is long...

So, in short, don't expect anything amazing, but know that these are NOT the finished article. Just something close. And, as always, I'd really appreciate honest opinions. If you think the stuff is crap, tell me, otherwise I'm wasting my time. You guys are my customers, so I wanna do stuff you wanna skate.

And thanks for the support guys, it really does mean a lot to get such a cool response. Hope I can live up to people's hopes

Sorry for the silence guys, starting my new job's been fairly hectic (good news is we've signed for a house, so making stuff should be easier now )

So, since last time some awesome stuff has happened. First, we have a new mold. Made from Acrylic they are sturdier than previous models and have the added benefit that concrete doesn't bond with the mold in any way. Secondly we have a second team rider, and a third offer in the pipes, not to mention my other pipe dreams (and teams ).

As regards stock, I have one ledge curing at the moment (should be just abut done), and if all's gone well I'll be starting work on a small stock for FBHQ which should be out by the middle of next week. I'll update with pictures tonight

New acrylic mold, first ledge out of it. Very minor imperfections, all of which are easily sorted. First stock is a go!

Someone on Twitter said it looked like a tray with a bent ruler. To clarify, that is 3mm acrylic sheet and 0.75mm styrene cut and glued into shape .

And cost a hell of a lot more than a tray with a bent ruler...

Couple of quick updates. First of all, and most excitingly, I've had a look at shipping costs for the pocket curve (and as a result, future pocket obstacles). Turns out shipping isn't as wildly prohibitive as I thought. Shipping to Europe is £6, and Singapore is just over £10. So, all you people abroad, looks like Mars Hill can come to you

Secondly, the new stock is curing. Three curves will be in stock on the B/S/T section this coming Friday evening/Saturday morning, with a second stock hopefully the same time next week (I'm moving house this weekend though, so I can't promise that one).

Also, as far as keeping up to date and getting behind the scenes, we'll soon have a Tumblr account (the Weebly blog system has been difficult with two outdated laptops and two iSystems that don't support it...), and you can follow my progress on Instagram on @fb4lyf4eva (the name's an in joke).

Finally, the pocket quarter is in development and should be ready before April, and expect news on an Easter limited edition bench
