| Hey bro, bearing are bearings. Doesn't really matter. If you have the money for something expensive, go ahead. if not, Abec 5's will do you just fine. ^^ |

| Abec is just the rating for how precise the bearings are made. Is basically like the overall quality of the bearing. |

| It's a common misconception that the ABEC rating of bearings determine the quality of the bearings. Higher ABEC ratings are better than the equivalent lower ABEC rating bearings.
Bones Reds are probably the most popular good value bearings in skateboard and possibly scootering. They're about £13 for a set of 8. All Bones bearings are decent.
I also recommend Pig bearings.
I'd hardly call this "serious issues", haha. |

| yeah it doesn't even matter, the bearings that come with the penny will be good. Im riding mini logo bearings at the moment, there the cheapest they stock in note and they are just as good as any other bearings I have used. |

| Like I said, bearings are bearings. Buy what you can. Abec Rating makes very little difference. |

| Abec does make a difference, but they don't take into account that skateboarders put their bearings through a lot. I've been riding my bone Swiss's for about 4 years, and they still roll great. If you're on a budget, I would go for bones reds |

| I think the abec rating is something to do with how precisesly theyre made, and their maximum top speed. But the rating is in no way associated with skateboarding, I think 5s are kind of standard anyway?
Id recommend bones reds, theres no point buying swiss, I highly doubt there is a major difference between them than reds, other than the price and where they are made. |

| Okay, abec rating is the precision in which they are made. Meaning their level is determined before they are made. This means a abec 3 bearing could potentially be as fast as a 7, although not every single one in the pack of 8 will be, there will more then likely be a couple studs out of the pack.
But, to answer the question being asked.. Buy REDS, about 10-20 bucks depending where you. I've ridden them since I've started skating (which was about 5 years ago). I also worked at a skateshop for about a year and a half and every person that walked in the door asking for bearings I pointed them to REDS, and never heard a single complaint. |
