either way - see you next week! It looks like we've got a big mini, 3 parks, free food/drink, tons of prizes, raffles, and a whole lot of fun going down for 5 of your hard earned pounds to get in. Get there! So you are saying I can come at your house ? If I got you correctly lol.. Anyways I think I'll come to this one, the only problem stopping me is where I'll be sleeping, probably I'll be all alone by my self and that sucks. I wish i can go with someone else from London ? So I don't travel alone ? Anyways the biggest issue is the stay, I really cant afford a hotel right now lol, I swear I'm ready to sleep on the floor, just to be in a house |

The event finishes at 6:30 and the train only takes an hour and a half. it's only 15 mins walk to the train station too, just get the train home? or if you're getting a bus get the bus home? seems silly to stay over when you're that close : o - Harry.Speakman wrote:

| There's a few things that are niggling at me with this event.
1. Not being in the Easter holidays, which is fair play, we've all understood that you couldn't afford to get the place any earlier.
2. It seems you haven't even asked about borrowing mine or Danny's BigMini (Or at least he hasn't mentioned anything anyway), yet you've advertised the event as "almost 100% confirmed to be a Big Mini". This sort of says that you're expecting someone to provide you with one. I'm sure it wouldn't be convenient for either me or Danny to provide a ramp to an event neither of us are attending. I also doubt Harry S will take his on the train..
3. As I recall, the event was also meant to be a nice and relaxed event, Rendezvous-esque? (I suppose that's why the specific date was chosen too). May I ask why it had to be sponsored significantly for the contests you've promised? Contests are extremely stressful for me, as I'm sure anyone else would agree, it just seems a little odd after I thought it would be just a meetup type of thing.
4. I understand you're supposed to advertise this event as you seem fit to bring in the numbers, but sometimes your tone seems to be like you expect people to come. I suppose this is related to the BigMini issue I had. I honestly think that you should feel lucky people are even coming, I'm always ecstatic to see anyone come to an event in the North West from outside that area. I understand you'd be happy with people coming to your event, but I think you'd be more happy about the numbers there, and not their efforts to get there.. Bristol is a surprisingly difficult place to get to, and expensive at that. |

Chris and I are driving down and we've agreed to pick up the Big Mini. EDIT: Also bro, I think this kind of thing would've been better off being done via PM.

Chris and I are driving down and we've agreed to pick up the Big Mini. I spoke to Kerry not long ago, but the mini wouldn't fit in you're car :/ This is how it played out in Xi's Fiesta; Me and Colbert were only in there for half an hour, and it was ridiculously uncomfortable and also somewhat painful |

| Danny, We've only got Xi in the back of the car so we're ok to put it in the seat next to him (cause we'll have all our stuff in the boot and we can use the middle seat as well) |

Yeah we had it on the folded down seats from Leeds to Manchester, it was wider than two of the seats So I doubt it would fit :/ |

| Did it not fit in the boot? Can stand it on its side and wedge it so it doesnt fall? |

| I've been through it all in my Dad's car (Decent sized Honda Civic). It takes up all the space in the back, and I mean all. It will always get damaged too on removal, so I won't be providing my ramp for this, I can't speak for Danny though, seems like from his posts that he doesn't want it there either.
Also 6-8 hours in the back of a car with a Bigmini by your side, over, or underneath you can't be the most enjoyable thing in the world, no matter how much you want to go to the event.
Simon Cartledge famously threw up after having the same treatment after only 30 minutes. |

| Nah, it's loads bigger than it looks. I wouldn't want to wedge it because it's old and the wood is becoming very brittle, it got 2 small chips from the Newton event last weekend and I wouldn't want to risk it getting any more :/ I also don't really want to send it all the way down to Bristol, especially if I'm not with it, some kids have no respect for things and it's easily damaged. |

I understand you'd be happy with people coming to your event, but I think you'd be more happy about the numbers there, and not their efforts to get there.. Bristol is a surprisingly difficult place to get to, and expensive at that. 1) lesson learned that holidays are important, next one and ones after will be in the holidays. my bad on that 2) it was gonna be danny's, which up until yesterday I thought was still big toms, but yea, that's all out the window because even though i'd not fully sorted it the one thing I didn't realise is that it wouldn't fit at all in a car. going to be replacing it with the big mamma, which is at least something rather than just a DOS or something. 3) two reasons, first because even though the older people generally don't enjoy contests, the younger people do and it's just more fun for all the people that do enjoy them - even if it's got a non serious vibe to it. secondly because half of the sponsor stuff goes away in a free raffle, so everyone has a decent chance of going home with something free. 4) I guess I'm just trying to be confident? honestly I am stoked and I will be if only like 20 people turn up, but if I acted like 'oh this is gonna be small people aren't coming' then most people would just feign laziness or something similar. I know I'm selfish (outlined by the fact that this isn't about me at all it's about the event and yet my brain wants to convince me otherwise, haha ) or w/e but I'm just trying to do something people will enjoy here. I guess not everyone is going to like that - however with every event I hold I feel I'll 'iron out' the issues people have had. hopefully one day you'll like it and others too. I'll keep trying SO JUST SO IT'S CLEAR: My apologies, but because I thought big mini's would fit in cars when they don't.. big mini is off. big mama is coming instead, which is still massive and should make for a ton of fun |

| Well I'm glad some of this is cleared up.
Anyway, Kerry. I'll be glad to help set up/pack up. You know I put in the work last time. I've got Harry's Helper badge still!
If there's no Big Mini, if you want, I could contribute my Winkler Dos so if a lot of people bring theirs, we'd have a few of them.
Also, do you have any kind of timetable sorted? You had one for the first CF event. |

| ^yes thanks bro, I kind of figured you and hatelys would help set/pack up as you're staying here there's not loads to do and it'll be an arseload easier this time with a van hired, so yea - sorted. big tom is letting us take the big mamma - you can bring a DOS if you want but I think we'll be set with how big the mamma is there's a timetable on crossedfingers.unitefingerboarding.com, has been there for ages |
