G'day to all the FB crew out there.Since I last posted I have a bunch of new boards to play with and am starting to get my head around some of the basic flips and tricks.I also have a mold and have made 2 of my own decks but I have noticed that even though the veneers have seemed to marry to the eye when testing with a flex I think that I can hear what sounds like possible air pockets.Which leads me to my question, what is better,to glue too much or glue sparingly?
I have been using a toothbrush to apply a thin even coat.I got the glue in a starter kit with mold etc.

Too much is just terrible.
With wood glue you don't need a lot, just enough to covet the ply.
Try using a little trowel or something to spread?

Cheers,I am thinking that using a toothbrush may have left small pockets of air.

Try using a foam brush to evenly spread it across the veneer.

Also make sure you cross ply the decks by the wood grain, if you don't have this ply combo it might also be a factor of the flex.
