| Before I knew about any of the wooden fingerboard companies I used to use Techdecks and they would last for probably around several months before losing their pop and then having to be replaced.
Now I've been using some wooden decks from various online companies and all of them have lasted me well over a year each.
I was wondering, how long do your fingerboards last before they loose their pop and are no longer any good to use?

| I dont really believe that a fingerboard dies unless you fuck them up bad.
I have decks that are 5+ years old that still work fine. Never experienced a TD losing its pop either. I'd say its placebo if you have tbh.
Anyway, i do get to a point with decks sometimes where i feel they need replacing, but thats just because they look so worn and thrashed. |

| The longest I used a deck was like 8 months, and the only reason I stopped using it was because there was no graphic left. On average I go through a deck in like 2 months, but it's been less recently because I have no money and I don't fingerboard as much. |

| My decks last forever and I if I change it, it is not because it is unusable or degraded. I usually stuck with the same Tech Deck back in the day and only had like 3 main ones - lost my G5, used a G7 for ages and then upgraded to a G8. Then I used a Berlinwood OM 26mm regular for 3 years. Then I found a wide deck I liked and used a Kulture 29mm for a very short time. I got sponsored by Close Up and used the same main G4 deck for a little under 2 years. I have since changed to a G5 low and have been using the same one for months.
All of these decks are still in good usable condition.
As for trucks, I only really had problems with TD/China trucks, especially the old ones. My current trucks, Close Up wides, are the same ones I got over 2 years ago and have been using them on my main setup for 2 years.
The same goes for my current bearing wheels. They're Close Up bearing wheels and still roll awesomely. They've been dropped into noodle soup twice and journeyed around China with me and are still great - ask anyone who's had a go on my main setup. There are SOME bearing wheels, usually non-backless single-bearing wheels which have slipping bearings and I've had some of those sets go bad between 1 month and 1 year. But there are good wheels out there.
Screws pretty much last forever, unless you have X-Concepts screws which wear away.
My tape has lasted me as long as 2 years (old Rip) or as short as less than 1 week (China). |

| Usually mine last a long time. But the reason I change them is because they loose the pop or i'm just tired of riding it. |

| I get a new tech deck everyday cos my wheels lose their pop, and the trucks are too worn in. I use my tape until the kingpin snaps though. |

| I haven't been fingerbaording with actual wooden decks for long, but this Northwoods has been going good for almost a year, save for being replaced with a Homewood deck for a while (R.I.P. my fellow Gangsta), but I'm kind of lost on the concept of "losing pop" what exactly does that feel like? when it happens will I know? |

| I've had my 30.5mm Blosom for over 2 years now, it's still the best deck I've ever used I haven't had it as a main for all of that time, it's been my main for at least 1.5 years though, and now it's my main again |

Eventually when you pop tricks it will just feel like smacking the eraser end of a pencil on the table. (Dull and bouncy in a way) |
