| Sorry to have to bug you all like this but I'm running out of time.. Basically, things have been going kind of slow lately so I created a Kickstarter project to help raise money for some new equipment. This would allow me to make my decks a little bit quicker without taking a large damaging toll on my hands, which sadly would probably push me into not making decks anymore. I have been making decks since 2007 as most of you may now and have never outsourced the production of my decks unlike some other big companies. The negative side of this is my hands have been taking a beating over the years and it's to the point where I can barely make more than 4 decks in a day. So basically I'm asking for your help in keeping Homewood alive to where I can continue to keep up with orders and not have to close. Please check out my project and donate whatever you can if you can, and remember you can get stuff for donating too so it's not a pure donation in the traditional sense, because you can get things in return. Here is the link: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1707615300/fingerboardingAlso if I am able to raise enough money for the new equipment, I do plan on lowering prices in the future. Maybe not by a whole lot but you'll still have a much more affordable option than some of the other decks out there that are over $40.. and you will still be getting the same level of craftsmanship that I put into every deck I make! |

Whereas I'm sure people would pay to see you banned from the forum, we can't set up a kickstarter project for it. Have some respect, consider this a warning. |

Kyle tried to make a joke. Sorry, I interpreted it as Kyle trying to take a shit on Justin's kickstarter. Maybe I'm just bad at interpreting things. Anyways, I just checked my Paypal, 4.98 balance -_- ill make sure to pledge 10 when I get some in da bank. In the meantime maybe talk to Ross about CNCs, could save your hands a lot of pain. Hope you get to your goal |

| Thanks for the support guys. If Kyle was making a joke it was poorly delivered, so I don't think it was a joke he was just being his usual ignorant self lol. All good though no worries! Thanks again to those who helped I'm hoping this thing works so I can continue to make decks! |

| Before reading the kickstarter thread I was feeling a bit harsh in that if the company fails it's sad and a loss to the community, but I'm not willing to make a donation.
Now I have read the thread I feel much more that you're being as pro-active about the problem as you can and trying to help everyone benefit from the situation (I need a new deck, hmm) - I've not done anything yet but my card is on my mind :]
Wish you all the best, would be a shame to see homewood go. Bear in mind I'm about as thrifty as possible, hopefully other people will be more generous! |

| Thanks for all the support in the thread guys! My last post didn't go through but yeah it's awesome to see people want to help out. I've seen many new companies pop up that only purchase decks from China to resell on their sites as their own decks. This has saddened me the most because ever since day 1 (~April 2007) I've hand-made every single one of my decks. I lost count but it has to be at least 2000 decks now that I've individually made by myself. So to see companies purchasing decks from China in bulk and selling them as their official decks makes me sad and angry at the same time. And because of their aggressive online advertising on Google and forums I've lost a lot of business to these new cookie-cutter fingerboard companies. I don't plan on going down without a fight, which is why I made this project. But you know me I don't like to ask for money which is why I like Kickstarter because it allows me to give you something in return for donating such as decks and shirts and such. So really it's like a big fundraising sale lol. I'm going to keep asking friends and family to help out so I can keep Homewood alive and keep making my own decks for the true fingerboarders all over the world. Thanks again guys you all mean a lot to me even if we've never met in person before! |
