What happened to trying out for yourself? As from what I see the components to a good video are definition, lighting, sound, and angle. Just play with it. Do u like it? If u do sweet, if not looks like u need to change something.

Things to make life easier, wide angle lens. Hi def cam with a decent FPS. Most use an SLR but in the end you work with what you got. Some kinda cam rail or your other hand for follow shots. I mean how would u film actual skateboarding?

Personally, I troll videos and analyze how they would get that shot, can I make it more interesting? Can I make it better?

Have fun with it, it's not a job or school.
