| Well.. you guys kind of leave me with no choice. Harvey isn't around, the only other active mod is danny, as alex is just skating/doing school stuff from the last post I saw him make on facebook, so, yea. Danny, if you disagree with this, chime in, but, I don't think you will. YOU ALL NEED TO STOP SPAMMING AND FLAMING. The topic I just deleted due to MASS spam and flaming: "Blosom and Danny Hynams customs" I don't care if you don't like someone. Flaming someone is NOT acceptable. Just because you've had bad experiences with someone in the past, if you cant find a constructive manner to make a point, then DON'T POST. Also, you all need to stop spamming. Seriously. I'm all up for a joke, which is why I'm putting most emphasis here on flaming, but, spam is out of hand. The odd bit of off topicness is fine, but, theres a line where it turns into spam and its CLEARLY visible. I don't care who starts it, either starting spam, or joining in with, is spamming, and I don't want that here. I'm fine with a joke. Fine with the odd bit of off topic posting. But NO spam. Remember, you don't have to post, you're not a better person because you have 450984305980954 posts. IMO, flaming is worse than spam. I'm prepared to be more lenient with spam because I don't believe, if everyone is enjoying a conversation, that it matters if it goes off topic a bit. I have a HUGE problem with flaming. If you don't like someone, either don't talk to them, or prepare your argument properly and constructively. NO bitching. NO random insults. NO flaming full stop. Everyone is welcome here, and welcome to be treated fairly here.I'm fully capable of banning people, and I'm going to start doing so for flaming, and possibly spam if its a repeated offense. In both cases, 1 warning PM, then if it continues, temporary ban, duration depending on the offense. I don't want to be so harsh, but, seriously, cant we just get on here? This used to be such a friendly community and now its just a bunch of guys spamming and hating on those who they don't like. Lets get the HQ back to how it used to be a few months ago NOTE: when I say 'you all', I do that because I'm not naming names. So don't bother posting 'it wasn't me'. I'm not pointing the finger at anyone, you know who you are if you've done it, and if you haven't, you know you haven't. |

| 100% agreed, spamming/flaming is so unnessecary. so as of now, these offences will be punished with a warning PM, and if it continues, a temporary ban will be decided upon between us mods. |

| Glad you agree danny, we shall indeed agree between us as to duration of bans, so as anyone doesn't think this is just me acting on my own and as such acting in a bias and unfair manner. Jack, I said, we're not answering that. I will say, keep being yourself, though, because, you're mainly really friendly so, I don't think you need to change anything One thing, you mentioned another person, please don't use this thread to call out other people. |

| in reply to something grant wrote on another topic, I didn't want to spam that topic so I'm quoting it here: - GrantHarris wrote:
- Seems like this forum is getting too strict, and you'll have to ban all the members to get the spam to stop. Considering there's only like 20 members that post actively, in which all of them pretty much spam. And once all the cool people get banned everyone else I think will just leave.
As I stated, its more about flaming than spamming. I don't want this to be a uber strict forum, and believe me, you've not even begun to see a strict forum if you call this place strict. I want everyone to have a nice time here, and for everyone to be respected. Spamming and flaming a persons thread to 3 forum pages of spam is okay by your standards is it? I just want this to be a nice place for everyone, and most of us agree. I'm all up for a joke, but, when someone is making a serious topic on a subject, and it just gets spammed up, the OP doesn't appreciate it I'm sure. Again, THIS IS MORE ABOUT FLAMING THAN SPAM. Spam can easily be a joke and I want this to be a friendly, fun, happy place to be. Flaming is horrible, and I will not stand for it, nor any of the others around here. These aren't gonna be perma bans anyway, not unless you don't stop. besides, that'd be futile, given only harvey can IP ban. And in response to nick: - NickPayne* wrote:

dude wtf i was simply stating he used an old vid and put some humor into it i mean seriously i feel like i cant post ne thing without getting all this bs for it ...*snip* I thought you were directly doing it as a joke against me making this thread, I guess I interpreted that wrong, sorry. Seriously, I want you all to have fun here, but, cut the spam, yea? And flaming will NOT be tolerated. Banhammer WILL be used for persistant flamers, I will not have people being horrible in a non humourous (as in every person is happy and enjoying the joke) manner. This is a FRIENDLY place. |

| this is the internet. people are going to hate on eachother no matter what Kerry. I mean if things start getting out of control with racial, or heavy cursing I can see your dismay. But after reading this I feel like I have to be on my best behaviour when I come to a fingerboard forum, and thats not the kind of forums I am used to. Kinda reminds me of hearing the shitty rules on the first day of school. All this talk about spam is embarrasing as soon as someone posts anything even if its supportivve, like, "nice deck" people bitch about it being spam. Grow up you may think your being mature by staying spam free but your taking the fun out of the forum. And as for people hating on the forum, Its obvious why they do because even the mods bitch about it! Its a message board full of people that like to play with toy skateboards, lets not take this to serious or this will die within a few months |

| ^I completely agree. FFI and other forums are much more strict because they have thousands of members.. and alot of mods and admins. You can't compare this place to the bigger forums. and if you are wanting this place to get that big I'd stop making this place even worse.. because thats what i feel like you are doing. and if all the members become scared to post everyone will leave, and this place will die.

| I cant say enough times this is MORE about flaming and really offensive insulting comments going on for pages people are posting, than spam. I want people to have fun, but if noone can see a need for even the slightest boundaries to make sure everyone can have fun, then, yea, whatever. I'll be out if that happens. Just because places are bigger, doesn't make them any different. I don't believe FFI was run wild until they got lots of members, and then they were suddenly, 'oh, we're big now, lets start caring!'. A forum that cares from the start will encourage people to be here. Having fun is part of caring. Just, everyone should be able to have fun. Which includes a lot of leniency with spam, and I'm all up for that, always have been. BUT, if you want to blindly hate, heres a great place for you: link |

| appleyard has the right idea. This place just seems more like a small community.. we all know about every single member and if people want to argue let them argue. The flaming isn't even that bad.. But when someone hypes up a product and then people get it and it has stuff like stickers for graphics and whatnot, of course someones going to be unhappy. And on all the other forums flaming is 20x's worse and you don't hear them bitching. Like one or two people have gotten flamed here, and when it has happened more than just one person did it.. So obviously theres a reason behind it. You're just going to discourage everyone from even coming on here. much less get more people on. |

I've got a few PMs to send, but other than that, I'm going to take my girlfriends advice and ignore here for a few days. I just cannot be assed any more. Enjoy yourselves |
