| Hi Will - Thank you. We are really pleased to be able to do this to be honest. We love the Close-Up product range and everything about fingerboarding!
In the near future we should see some very exclusive Close Up UK collaborations. Please contact us if you wish to discuss further.
Thanks! |

| wow this is pretty cool, I mite pick up a set of the bearing wheels, are they the same hardness as the non bearing urethane wheels (really soft!?!) it would be cool if close up did 32mm trucks, although i guess thers not much point if they dont do 32mm decks |

| So you sell both as Close-Up and FBUK and SAM-I-AM ?
Are you actually a part of Close Up or are you just distributing them and using their name? |

| JUST TO CLEAR THIS UP. These guys are part of beggars belief (sp? I forget the exact name, it's 1am right) distribution, who acquired exclusive rights to close up in the UK. Now they've made things a bit more expensive and are retailing rather than just distroing. Collabs and skate scene supporting or not, 12 quid for a graphic china deck that retails off Close Up for 9.50 eur (roughly 8 quid).. I'm not loving that in all honesty. Shipping is basically the same for either too. I'm not totally against this, and I want to clear up that this isn't fake/a scam/etc - but yea.. there's my thoughts on it. The fact that you're sponsoring is rad though, I think with some tweaks this could be a good thing all round |

| Good Morning,
It seems there is a bit of disinformation here as I have been bombarded with messages asking about this and who we are.
Firstly, I am not a fake, I work for Beggars Belief Distribution Ltd and I am in charge of marketing, promotions and sales for Close Up UK - we have been in business for many years and distribute millions of products nationwide for all kinds of products. We setup a dedicated business to help run Close-Up UK in conjunction with Damien who owns Close Up entirely - In a nutshell, we represent Close Up in the UK and have the exclusive licensing rights to advertise, market and sell the Close Up product range. The companies listed above are not the same and please understand that Beggars Belief Distribution Ltd is a trade wholesale company, not a retailer. The retail site was created to help showcase the portfolio of products and help create customer awareness. This is why we are here...
Kerry - our pricing is set in conjunction with our overall running costs which include staff, property, warehousing, depreciation and every other cost that a running business has to occur. Close Up has never ever been marketed in the UK and this is the most costly of all in terms of drumming up customer awareness.
I hope that explains things and eases the confusion. We appreciate any feedback regarding Close Up as we are still so new in terms of the launch so we thank you for your continued support.
Please tell me what you believe the RRP price for the following should be:
1) Trucks 2) Standard wheels 3) Decks
Thanks, D,
|

| Just as a question, were you approached by CloseUp, or vice versa?
"Close Up has never ever been marketed in the UK", of course, but neither has Yellowood, FlatFace, BerlinWood, etc. This makes me consider the possibility that CloseUp approached you.
There would be an explanation for that too, CloseUp have undeniably lost a lot of money recently. I hope you realise that you are buying into, most likely, a flop product. |

| This is how a moderator of a fingerboard forum welcomes a company who is trying to promote a well-known brand?
We approached Close Up last year and we began distribution in March - Close Ups financial position is not for us to worry about and I would assume this is why Close Up chose to have an exclusive distributor to help build the brand back up and create customer awareness the UK skate scene. Surely that is a good thing?

| Yea it is. Keep suits out of fingerboarding.
Also, you are running your business in the most dishonest way i have seen on this forum, and most of the shit that pops up here is run by greedy kids.

Please explain yourself because your posts are just running wild and not making much sense for me.
Do you own this LoveDrug brand? |

| Okay, well I can tell you now, that the chances of your venture failing are high. I was personally at a tradeshow with Blackriver. They were trying to distribute their products to different skateshops around the UK, the big names were all there. While there was a lot of interest, it was ultimately considered as too obscure to be introduced in their shops, and not worthy of a business relationship.. Introducing fingerboarding to the UK skate scene seems an impossibility. Kerry, Eddie, and Sam can all back me up with this.
Within the fingerboard scene, CloseUp isn't really regarded as well-known, it's more of an alternative to Tech Deck. That isn't a flattering comparison, considering all the quality companies around.
I'd say back out before you lose more money. |

| hmm the fact you just said to mikkel: "Do you own this LoveDrug brand?"
pretty much shows how much you are into the fingerboarding scene
I dont think ill be supporting this company, i have bought things from the french close up site in the past and i will just use that site again in future |

| You start by pretending to be part of Close Up. Then when people asks you a bit you admit to be a company distributing the products and not actually a part of Close Up. 3 accounts have been posting from your IP on this forum. What are you trying to hide? On your Close Up site you sell Screaming Tree G5 complete for £24.95 http://www.closeup-fingerskate.co.uk/product/trauma-screaming-tree-g5-29mm-completeOn your FBUK site you sell the exact same complete for sale for £27.95 You sell a bunch of china shit, you do not contribute with anything good. So yea, fuck off! |

| You seem to be greatly confused... We distribute exclusively for Close Up and we represent Close Up UK, someone has even verified that above so I seriously do not know what your issues are other than jealousy.
3 accounts have posed from my IP - So why does that automatically mean I am hiding something? Surely there are many people with the same IP addresses.
FBUK brand has nothing to do with Close Up UK, they are a retail website company that we sell to and therefore will have a higher mark-up price which is up to them.
Quite frankly I find your posts quiet rude and unnecessary. It seems you are trying to boycott the whole idea which is simply bringing a well known brand from the fingerboard list of company's and promoting it in the UK more so. If you are completely against that then I feel rather dissapointed in this forum and yourself as a moderator and this will reflect badly on the scene which is also maybe why this scene hasn't grown the way it should. You are been extremely small minded which leads me to think you are just posting rubbish to create a negative image of the brand, hence why I asked if you own a brand which you do, and you call this company dishonest? You gotta be kidding me. Shameful and quiet frankly ridiculous.

| 3 accounts on your internet connection. Please explain it. Both FBUK and your domain are owned by the same person. Tony Fisher. The two websites use the exact same layout: https://i.imgur.com/UWfc3lo.pngI don't see how you can deny that your shit looks shady when you can be linked to two other accounts and a website selling a bunch of china shit. My opinion is simple. Companies in fingerboarding should be run by people interested in fingerboarding rather than money. By people that actually put something out, not just make a good SEO and sell china shit. |

| IP addresses can be shared by thousands of people, especially in my area where the exchange is monopolized by one company so by stating I am using three accounts is just a way over reaction.
He is the owner of Beggars Belief and they own hundreds of URL's so that will explain that...
I work for BB and they own the exclusive rights for Close Up UK.
Seriously, you are taking things way out of context and spreading disinformation and I suggest you stop this nonsense because your actions are proving traducement towards the company I work for.
I really cannot believe your accusations and how much venom you hold for newcomers to the fingerboard scene... Its really disappointing to see. We work hard at bringing new products to the UK and if you don't want to be included in that then fine but please dont be slanderous to our name. It is unnecessary and childish.

| Dude. It's simple, there are two many links to from you to shit.
The whole Close Up part of your business isn't that bad. I'm generally against companies in fingerboarding.
And i am holding venom for newcomers?
I'm not the one that can be linked to selling marked up china completes.
In other words. You might not be the one selling china completes, but the company you work for own your close up shop and they own FBUK. |

| I work for a company that distributes Close Up exclusively hence why we came on here as part of our marketing campaign. The legals and who owns what are nothing to do with me. I am the manager for Close Up UK and I work for BB... I'm not hiding a thing all you are doing is linking as many things as possible to make a story, Why? I am not here to discuss business, I am here to showcase the Close Up brand on a fingerboard forum. I have explained myself too many times now and you are quite frankly just insulting myself and the company I work for.
Most products are made in China... What have you got against China?
Close Up is not affiliated with anyone else, it is its own company in the UK so I don't understand why you are concluding so much rubbish facts still, I have explained who I am, what we do and you are still talking rubbish.
Your attitude stinks towards this and I am more than dissapointed in yourself, someone who owns a brand, and uses this forum to market it, yet you become slanderous towards a new comer who is marketing Close Up - I think you are been pathetic. I am absolutely amazed at your behavior considering you are a moderator of a forum who's audience is mostly teenagers.
