| So back in the day if someone posted a fingerboard mini, the comments would usually be a few sentences each reply, usually a few positive comments and one or two things the person can improve on.
For example "Nice bench spot you made, really liked the nollieflip noseslide and the catch on that hardflip was crazy. Try and film a little brighter and keep it in focus. What kind of deck is that?"
Now comments are just like "nice" "first" "sick" most of the time and it doesn't really offer any real substance, and its hard to tell whats good or bad, what people like or don't, what to improve on or if anyone even cares that much what you're doing sometimes.
It'd be awesome if people put a little more effort into their comments especially on youtube. People try real hard in their videos and get the same comments wether they did half as good or twice as good as their last. Constructive criticism is good sometimes! |

| Yea! It's not only on videos, but in general.
Post a deck and people are talking more about how you should start selling them and sponsor and stuff, than how you could improve your decks.

Yeah man! I remember when I first started making decks and people would say they looked fine or that nothing's wrong when clearly there is since I just started making them lol. I'll admit I don't exactly leave comments like the example Mike gave but I do try and not just write "cool" or something. |

| If a video is awesome. I don't just say "sick." I try and go into a little more detail by saying something like "dude, that video was freaking sick. Amazing job." And sometimes I will say something like what I said before but add something like "that switch heel, blunt was amazing too." |

| I can only speak on my own behalf, and when I do make comments on youtube it is usually the short comments you describe in the first post. But it is mainly due to the fact that I am in no way a critic at heart when it comes to something like filming or fingerboarding and the video I am watching is mindblowingly beyond my own skills or knowlage about filming in perticular. So I tend to keep it short and sweet..lol! Shure I can write a few extra words describing my enthousiasm, so I will stribe to do so in the future. Interesting topic btw. Never thaught of it that way..haha.. |

| Now that you mention that I noticed I do that a lot. I'll try to give more constructive criticism and point out what I liked and thought could be better about videos from now on, and hopefully people would do the same for me Some comments are just pointless, some to the point that they're just laughable. Such as: ldragomaster579 1 day ago YOURE THE GAYEST PIECE OF SHIT EVER NO FUCKING STYLE AT ALL Reply to which I replied: fastfingers17 1 day ago touch my bum. Reply · in reply to ldragomaster579 |

Yes that^ I try to not write super short comments with like one word but I guess it happens sometimes... Haha It's much nicer to see a more detailed comment like the example on the first post than just just a little word. I usually listen to the critism and try to do the best that I can to improve what the comment was about. From now on I will try to write some longer and more detailed comments |

| Sometimes it's kinda annoying when someone like posts a comment with no smiley or anything in it,not even a capital letter like : "cool" or something like that. |

| it makes sense that if you have the time to watch the video and they take the time to make a enjoyable video you should make an effort to make a decent comment instead of a comment like "nice" or "cool tricks" which gives them no sense of accomplishment at all i didn't really notice that till now, but definitely makes me wonder how many times i've been lazy with commenting |

| I don't know about you but back in the day, I just didn't get comments at all. I try to be constructive with my comments some of the time but when a video is really good, I don't feel like I need to be. |
