I'd say virtualdj for mixing, or traktor.
Other than that I don't really know, abletons pretty good but I don't know much about production etc. |

| I don't know much about djing, but for production, I use lmms as it's free, but it's for windows and definitely not the best DAW out there.
But for Mac, some that come to mind are Ableton, Logic Pro, and I think all Macs come with Garage band. Fl Studio is also good if you're running windows.
I don't really know of any Vst's for Mac. |
