So, basically, I am going to “roam” the country for a week or so. What will I be doing exactly? Well, FINGERBOARDING!
So I will be driving up to New York with my father over 3 days and stopping along the way in Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Ohio. I plan to fingerboard along the way at any cool spots I find as well as in hotels, restaurants, ect. But the real adventure is only going to kick off once I get to Greece, NY! Obviously, my dad will have to work all day, and so I plan on leaving early in the morning and returning late at night. And well, I’ll be fingerboarding the whole day!
I plan on roaming around New York, which is completely new to me seeing as I’ve never been there. HOPFULLY I’ll find some cool outdoor spots and such to sesh!
Anyways, has anyone ever done something like this?
Does anyone have any tips or suggestions?
I’ll be out on my own for a few days with nothing but a fingerboard for company so I am very excited (and nervous) to get out in NY!
I’d really appreciate any sort of advice or tips seeing as I’ve never done any fingerboard “journey” like this before! And besides the obvious, such as brining along a tool and spares, what do you guys think would help?
And if anyone lives in NY, let me know and maybe we could meetup. And ofcorse, let me know if you know of any cool spots I can journey to!
Seeing as I am a 17 year old girl this may seem like a pretty far fetched idea to some of you, but I am really excited to get out, explore, and FINGERBOARD for days on end! I will obviously be maximizing my safety precautions seeing as I am unfamiliar with the area, but I’d also like to get the most out of this. If anyone had any ideas, I’m open to hear!
I’ll be flying back alone to Chicago where I plan to sesh (most likely only in the airport) and then I’ll be heading back to Dallas.
Also, has anyone ever used their fingerboard on an airplane? If so, let me know how it went, I’m planning on trying it out but I’m not sure how people will take it.
I’m open to any ideas, let me know what you think! Overall, I’m just overwhelmed with excitement! I’m usually very reserved with fingerboarding in public, but I’m planning on letting it go! After all, who cares what other people think about fingerboarding.

Get a really crappy deck, go to the top of the Empire State Building, film yourself throwing it off of it. Fingerboard on the Intrepid too. If you go to the end of it, you see my town. We view the skyline, so I'll wave to you haha.

sesh every spot that you see that is even barely or maybe not even fingerboardable, so if you look back on the trip you wont say ''i wish i seshed that spot'' also, bring a rail like alex said but also bring the tape not only to clean your grip but to hold down the rail. have fun and bring like 3 sd cards so you dont run out of footage. and also dont get raped or buy a watch

Use metal wheels, use boardrails, remember restaurants have cool little spots to sesh, bring a good camera and make sure it's got a lot of power and memory, don't be embarrassed, and don't accept free candy from a guy hanging around in a white van in the parking lot of a daycare.
Have a fun trip

Bring a good board but not your favorite one, sesh ALL the things, and most of all have fun! Oh yeah, and bring a sharp object. Just in case

i would definitely recommend staying in areas with a lot of people around. also pepper spray haha (no joke). other than the possibility of running into sketchy people, that sounds like a really fun concept! idk if i could fingerboard for that long; id probably skateboard more than anything, but I say go for it! If you're in Ohio, and close to Cleveland, let me know!

Dude, you need to invite some people!!! FBing with friends is so much more fun. Try and recruit some finger boarder you know, or make an invite thread.
