I had written half a post when you first made the thread, but accidently deleted it so i didn't bother rewrite. I'll try again now though.

First of i wanna say that i am not trying to hate on your project, but i am best at pointing out flaws, not so much pointing out what works.

Makes me wonder what much more is, cause on the site all i can find is Reviews, giveaways and a basically empty forum.


The reviews seem a little pointless, and at times a bit too "tongue meets anus"ish.. I mean a positive review about a tool to pull your strings with? If you play guitar you clearly have two functioning hands for that job.
I also don't get a feeling that the writers behind the reviews have the experience that it would take to give qualified advice for me as a mid-level musician.


When all that is said, everyone needs to start somewhere. There is just nothing on your site that makes me want to come back and check it regularly.

About the basically empty forum. First things, everyone starts everywhere you know? We are a brand new review website, and are finding flaws like you said, and are trying to improve!

About the String Stretcha. We don't pick and choose what we review. We review whatever we can get our hands on, and since that is what came in the mail, we went for it.

I understand what you mean, and I am working on changing it soon, and talking to the reviewers.

I can't thank you again for what you have said, and I will be working on it this month.

Yea as i said.. I'm not trying to be a negative asshole, i just am a negative asshole, lol..


But yea. You should just keep chasing the dream. One day you might have just the right stuff for people to come back.

But i think if you are more critical in your reviews you will get more readers.. It might seem ungreatful to bash a product that's been sent to you for free, but in the end you are helping the companies realizing what works and what doesn't.

Thanks for the advice. That is what I am going to work on in the next product reviews. I am looking at changing the whole website layout at the end of the year to a blog interface if that all makes sense. You are not a negative asshole. You are a helpful asshole. HAHA
