| Ok so I have a friend who I really want to get into fingerboarding, so I gave him one of my old tech decks. He thinks its pretty cool looking, but he is the kind of kid that is worried about self image, and keeps asking me, "is it cool?" what should I say? Fingerboarding isn't very popular where I live. |

| I've learned that you shouldn't try and impress people that treat you like shit. If people will make fun of you for fingerboarding then they'll make fun of you for anything else. Tell your friend if he likes it to do it. Life sucks if you are constantly worried about what others think. |

well said! Never do anything because its "cool" people wanna feel comfy and fit in.. but were all individuals and have our own thing to do and should surround our selfs with only people who understand who they are and who you are... not a bunch of dickweeds who are Koool. |

| Ok look, fingerboarding is totally not a cool thing to do.
FINGERBOARDING IS SO SWAG I CAN'T STAND IT!!!!
No but seriously, I fingerboard around everyone. No one really cares and if someone says something mean about it I just totally ignore it because I think it's fun ooor I say something ironic right back. |

| I think the concept of it is cool, like being able to do skate tricks with your fingers but in the eyes of someone who has never heard or seen fingerboarding would think it's just someone playing with a toy therefore you would be considered "uncool". Once people get to realize what it is, then they start to think it's pretty cool. |

| thats wack. Im not nerdy at all but i fingerboard. I just dont give a shit what people say. If anything most people just ask me about it. But I dont think fingerboarding is right for your friend if he is really that worried about what people are gonna think. like skeep said, if he aint gonna defend it, he shouldnt be a part of it. |

| I tell some of my friends about fingerboarding, and pretty much all of the time (sometimes after I explain what it is) they think it's cool. Not that I'd go around saying I fingerboard, but my friends don't mind it. |
