| ^why post then??
The first edition of Ywheels were pretty soft and grippy from what i've heard, but the newer ones are supposed to be less soft/grippy. |

| I'm thinking about recieving a new deck for this upcoming Christmas.
Berlinwood, Flatface, or Homewood?
I want to get either a Berlinwood or a Flatface because you know, they are popular.
But I really like the Homewood company as a whole.
Which decks would you say are the best quality out of the 3? |

| Homewoods are better quality than either flatface or berlinwood. I also wouldn't recommend going with what every else says is popular because, well, that's just dumb Get what you think looks cool... (Like a Homewood new mold custom) |

| Homewoods have real ware graphics right? I was planning to get one of those if I went homewood. I've just been using my own decks or chinas since I started fingerboarding about a year ago. Haven't had the money to buy a new deck, but since Christmas is coming I'll be able to get an actual setup. I'm pumped. |

| Okay, so I made my first deck. And after making it I It feels like the wood is almost, flexible?
It feels more like hard rubber than wood. Haha. It doesn't make a clicky noise when I hit it to the table and instead makes more of a smack. |

| Try using different types of glue. And also try some different veneer. |

Maple works good for veneers. Don't use wood glue. Use a much more stronger glue to make it much more, for a lack of a better term, harder. |

| It's not science, we are glueing wood, so why not use wood glue?
I've always used woodglue, and my decks have strong pop. I know several other talented deck makers that use wood glue and make perfect decks.
It's not as much about the glue as it's about using the glue right. (read the label). |

| I am using quick create right now but I sifted it super thin and the mold I used on the smaller scale was a plastic tub and the sides of it came out silky smooth but the part that I would be riding on, the top wasn't smooth at all. Did I add to much water? |

It's not as much about the glue as it's about using the glue right. (read the label). I meant weak wood glue. True on the last part though. |

| Maybe try tapping the sides of the container with a ruler or something to bring the air bubbles to the surface? And I think you're supposed to sand it to smooth it out some more, correct me if I'm wrong. - KuhPopie wrote:

It feels more like hard rubber than wood. Haha. It doesn't make a clicky noise when I hit it to the table and instead makes more of a smack. Try Titebond III. I made a deck with that once and it had really good pop and was pretty much rock solid. |
