I picked it up yesterday, it's so good

Chose Froakie as my starter and got a female, also found a shiny Pikachu really early on

Bought the X edition 3DSXL too, it's a thing of beauty <3

i was playing pokemon yesterday on my mates DS ahaha, I tried to find mine this morning to paly but I can't find it

Holy shit that 3ds is beautiful, and even though I love pokemon the starter designs and the mega evolution thiings turned me off majorly....especially what they did to mewtwo, I might buy it anyway, is it good, and is there any major changes except for the graphics?

Yeah I'm not much of a fan of the starters, Chespin looks the best but I hate Grass types. Went with Froakie aha. The mega evolution thing is cool in some ways, but bad in some too. Mega Tyranitar can only be OP, but there's no denying that Mega Charizard X looks badass. It also finally becomes a Dragon type haha!

But yeah there's a lot of differences, but it still feels like Pokemon. I wasn't going to get it until I found out that I could get Squirtle, that's what convinced me to get it haha.

I used to play pokemon. Gave up when black and white 1 came out since I'm not shelling out more money just to get the new ds just to play the game.

^Black/White 1 was on DS O.o X/Y is the first 3DS exclusive.
Diamond/Pearl, HG/SS, B/W and B2/W2 were all on DS

Mega Charizard X is better then the Y one, apparently.

Depends what you want it for really, since Mega Charizard Y has the Drought ability it powers up fire type moves, since most fire type moves are specials it sets him up perfectly to be a special attacker, especially with the STAB he gets.
X becomes a Dragon type though, so you can use the powerful physical Dragon type attacks such as Dragon Claw.

Just depends how you want him to battle really

I got x. I chose fenniken or whatever s my starter, it's been a tradition since I was a wee lad to choose fire starters in all the games because, duh, fire is the best. So going with the tradition I also chose charmander and I got a torchic through an event so... I got 3 fire starters, a pikachu, a kadabra, and a pidgey. I quickly came to realize that having three fire types was probably a bad idea but I don't care lol.

^Lmao, I'm the opposite I usually go with Water starters except from Black 1, I chose Tepig and regretted it terribly lmao. I picked up the Torchic but PC'd it since I've never been a fan of his evolutions.

Just out of curiosity, did you get a female starter? I've yet to find anyone who I know who's got a female Fennekin aha, I got a female Froakie so when I can be bothered to breed it I'll start getting some Froakie's hatched for trade

Jake, it's 3DS family exclusive unfortunately Although if you want it badly you could always get a preowned 3DS or the 2DS for cheap I bought the 3DSXL solely for X aha, although there's a few games I'll probably pick up too.
