| My BRTs are destroyed Got it in a trade for cheap and had problems but can be easily fixed. Axles would slip (Just tighten the wheels), baseplates are stripped(Do the Gunner and/or Kerry method), pivot cups need replacing (Gonna buy new tuning anyways). Now, I tried exchanging wheels and when I tightened my locknut and the axle broke. Still didn't fix the pivot cup and baseplates part but now I think it is not worth it anymore as everything's fucked. Srsly, TDs are much more hassle free. /rant Moving on from the rant. Have you had any problems with BRTs? I'm thinking of buying Y's. Are they hassle free? |

| Well, I've never owned Ys, but I have heard they rarely strip, fit any type of wheel, and I don't think they will break on you like that. I may not be the best guy to give information on Ys, but I hope it still helps |

| I had stripped Y's that I got in shitty second hand condition too. BRT's are hassle free if you treat them properly from the start, but if you buy them second hand in a fucked up condition they'll break on you |

| Ytrucks for life. If I had 500 dollars I'd buy five sets more. I've had at least 10 sets in my Fingerboarding "career" and they've all been super reliable and amazing. No complains ever. From x1 through x4 they've always been the highest quality trucks, and I'm staying loyal. |

| That sucks, my axles don't have a lock onto the hangars anymore but its not too bad because i can use 2 tools. I also have trouble using thick decks (like sb) because the back truck kept falling off, they're fine mounted on BWs and other decks though My pivot cup is also worn a lot too so the hanger pops out from time to time. I guess the less you change your wheels and decks the longer they will last, these problems aren't anything major but i didn't really expect to have such problems on something so expensive. This is just focusing on the negatives though, i still think they're great trucks but i havent tried y's yet. |

If something cost $60 then they shouldn't be stripping at all. |

I mean cmon guys he bought a pair of half destroyed trucks arleady what do you expect, having a preference is fine and all but I've never had any problems with any brt's I've bought new, my first ever pair are still in great condition besides scratched hangars, if you treat them right brt's or y's they will last you a long time. period. |

| I like my BRT sets. BUT now that I got a set of Ytrucks I must admit they are better quality in regards to the threads wich Blackriver could have sorted by now as it is a easy fix in the production line..
For whatever reason the Ytrucks seem to perform slightly better too. I wasnt expecting that, so kinda blown away by it. And that says a lot, because I am usually soft for Blackriver bling.. |

| Just get the y trucks. Obviously BRT's have a reputation for stripping. Like stated above, a 70 dollar set of trucks should work. Flawlessly i might add. I own a set of x4's and they are amazing. I feel like they look a little better too (really realistic and a sexy slim design). They're cheaper and the o-rings they come with aren't half bad. And if you like bushings more, you can just get some y trucks edition WitchCrafts. Only downside to the y trucks is that you have to order everything from Portugal. They also wear really realistically. |

regardless of opinions, if you buy something half broken it's not going to fix itself. Kezza sums it up. I've had two sets of BRTs, set them up multiple times each and never had a problem with either. That said, definitely trying some Ys soon. |

| I bought some from Gunner, 2 holes in one baseplate were stripped and replaced with larger screws. Apart from that I've had no problem, I use them as my main set of trucks and I have changed them onto different decks easily 20 times since I've had them.
My only complaint is I can't see how to get a new pivot cup without buying a new baseplate... ? The mega bushing pack looks like it has some but it doesn't mention it. Can anyone confirm ? |

| You get at least three different kinds of pivot cups for the BRTs in the bushing megapack joe.. (soft/medium/hard) You also get the TKYs wich is nuce, bll the other parts in it really isnt that useful unless you anjoy the white ones. The black ones broke on me and the red are just way too hard.. So with the bushing megapack you are really paying for a set of TKYs and spare white bushings + three different pivotcup configurations.. |
