| Just got a BerlinWood extra wide 33.3mm deck in the mail! Super sick and clean board. But to be honest it really doesn't feel all that wide. In fact, in comparison to my 32mm board (china deck) almost no difference it seemed as far as width goes. And at first glance you can't really tell by looks kind of. Even with the decks stacked on one another its hard to tell the difference in width. I measured and it is indeed 33.3mm but didnt feel like i was expecting. Guess it is all preference, but let me know if you ride a 33.3mm deck and how it felt when you made the switch! Did the new width feel fat? Kinda the same to you too? Lemme know! This is kind of review like i suppose but don't feel it totally qualifies. But yeah, let's get some x wide opinions goin on here. |

| It's only 1.3mm wider so that's only 0.65 mm on each side which is hard to notice, you should notice it when you ride though |

| Yeah i understood that much, but like i said, not a huge difference as far as feeling goes. Kinda the same. Im guessing that after riding the 33.3 for a while, the 32 will feel pretty slim when i go back and use it. |

| Yeah, 1.3mm isn't really that much of a difference. As much as I'd like one, it's a bit of a marketing trick. Someday people will realise that you can do everything you can do on a 32/33.3, on a 26-30mm deck. Wider isn't necessarily better. |

| Not saying it's better, just prefer wide decks. Especially starting with tech decks, wider is such a relief. And they don't cost more than other berlinwoods so i don't see how that's a marketing trick..... |

| Also take into consideration, the BW probably has more concave than the china deck, so holding them next to each other isn't the best way to measure it, since it dips in more. Do you catch my drift? |

| You measure the width after the deck is pressed More concave wont change the width, but will require more wood. |

| Actually the china deck has about the same amount if not more concave. It seems it just varies by the person. |

| I just got a BW X Wide yesterday and it does feel somewhat fatter than normal. I just cant wait for future generations of fingerboarders to look back at this X wide and be like, "A 33.3 was an X wde?" While they are riding the "Norm" at 36mm or something crazy like that. |

I can't see people riding wider than 34mm as normal tbh, I think the realism would just be totally lost it would look way to fat and you would have to make the deck longer meaning that kids couldn't use them |

At one point 26mm was the norm. Then it became 29mm. Then it became 32mm. And the 32mm norm was only a year ago. Now it seems 33 or 33.3 is the new norm. So we will just have to wait and see. |

| People are already making their own 35mm decks and such. I feel like 29,30, and 32mm are the perfect size range with that 33.3mm just as a kinda on the side unique width. Going fatter than this like jack said would start taking away from the realism. |

| People will always be willin to make custom decks, so I don't see why the "norm" matters, just if you don't like what is the new "norm" then jut buy a custom from any of the great deck makers on here, and ask them if they can make the dimensions you'd like. |

| I'm still confused. I mean, they said the measurements, 33.3mm. It's not going to feel like a 36mm wide deck..... Because it's 33.3mm. |

| My man.......you just seem kinda negative towards wide decks to begin with. Like some sort of inward bias towards them haha. Just feelin that vibe from you. Nobody is saying we expected to feel like were riding a playing card, we just were expecting it to feel wider than our 32's and there just isnt a huge difference as far as feeling goes. Do you own one yourself? Have you personally compared a 33.3 and a 32? Because a few of us that have are just saying (again) - there just is not a noticeable difference in feeling. |

| I'm just saying, it is what it is. It's a measurement, it's not arguable. Its 1.3mm wider, no less, no more. That's a fact. It's going to feel a bit wider, but not much... 1.3mm wider to be exact.
I'm not bagging on you dude, I'm just saying if I had 19" rims on my car and I bought 20" rims to replace them, could I complain because they don't look much bigger ? Not really, cause I knew they were only an inch bigger when I bought them. |

| I'm not trying to complain though. Just saying that it really doesn't feel as wide as I expected. I've even said twice that it's an awesome deck. |

| To me 1mm makes a very significant difference.
Keep in mind berlinwoods are wider at the front end of the board. |
