Ive done this .. but my camera quality is shit. id love a new gopro...
try filming with it above your hand it looks much better .. or at least that's what I tried and it looked better.. and I had to rig the hell outta the strap so it wouldn't move around.

there's a video someplace on vimeo from like 5 years ago.. cant find it but.. it was a wrist mount gopro and slomo fingerboarding on brr ramps and stuff.. was really well done and he used the same under the wrist angle.
